So, sorry if this has already been discussed. I know it's still early but I wanted to make sure we had planned to do a photo shoot at midnight either Friday or Saturday. I liked the location of last year's photo shoot although the lighting sucked.

We should try for one again this year, and hopefully this time we won't be blocked out of our own space by a massive pile of trolls ( Homestuck Cosplayers ).

I'm willing to plan the times and do the submissions but I won't be calling groups or poses since I'll be dressed as Pyro Jack.

I'll volunteer for that role- it would give me an excuse to bring Nana-chan back, anyway. How cute would that be?

So, King's Game updates:

Did we want this to be during the day, or when we're all sleep-deprived and sillier than usual?

As for location: I'd offer to host it in my room, but alas, it's not my choice... (I have other people I'm rooming with)
Guess we're just going to plop down in the part of the lobby that doesn't close (if we do it after the MH shoot), or possibly by the fountain from last year.
Thoughts?

*Also, there will be a get-out clause factored into the game, lest somebody abuse their kingly privileges... I'm open to ideas about this, too.

I think after midnight would be nice. I personally liked the fountain area we did the after midnight pictures ACen 2012.

I'm game for either at this point but I'm leaning more towards after the midnight shoot. Maybe we could even try for before the midnight shoot too if people aren't busy but that might be a longshot.

Also something to keep in mind with location is the size of the King's game group. I know when we played this in the lobby after the midnight shoot in 2011, the staff kept telling us to move so we weren't a fire hazard until we found some out of the way corner. There was like 11 of us too so it was a decent sized group.

I'll help where I can In 2010 we eventually found an out of the way spot indoors that was out of the way, but for the life of me I can't remember exactly where it is XD. I'm guessing as long as it doesn't partially block a door/hallway/anyplace with traffic we should be fine.


Also since sign up for photoshoots starts tomorrow, what are people thinking for the shoots? The midnight shoot pretty much seems like a done deal, but what about the day shoot? Also, thoughts on locations for both photoshoots?

There seems to be a lot of P3 praise in here...

I was looking to see if there's going to be any P4. It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot of the investigation team. I'll be going as Yu/Souji/Protagonist or Yosuke, depending on the time of day the meet up is. Someone please tell me at least one other person from the investigation team is showing up so I don't end up all embarassed walking into a moutain of S.E.E.S. and subconsciously see a prompt that says:

No worries! We had an excellent turn-out of P4 members last year (even the crossplay versions!)- and with both Arena and Golden coming out, we'll probably see even more of the Investigation Team this year!
Come as you are, I'm certain you'll find the team waiting.

last year there was an over abundance of P4 and P3 cosplayers so dont worry youll fit right in!
I was a very different story however lol I was the Protagonist for Persona 1 and the only persona 1 cosplayer at all XD lol. along with the sole Devil Survivor Cosplayer.

I'll be back this year. Last year I was the cross-dress pageant Souji with a bonus cross-dressing Yosuke.
Not sure if I'll bring back that cosplay to the dark hour shoot, since I'm working on an entirely new P4 cosplay, but I'll be there.
Had a blast last year, can't wait to see what everybody comes up with this time around <3

Also, if you guys are looking for a place to play the king's game after the shoot, there's usually a lot of seating open in the Hyatt lobby, especially after the Red Bar closes. If you want to go outdoors, consider the garden area. It's a great place to take pictures, and there are benches for Kanji to get smooch-tackled off of.
Hopefully it will be a bit warmer outside this year >.<
