So other than my latent female urge to shop being awakened- I think I found the base for my Aigis suit!!~
Could get a commission for the whole suit for less than the Totoro bed would cost, but somehow I don't think its the same if I don't make at least part of the costume myself! That's half the fun of cosplay; the other, of course, is finding awesome people to hang with from your fandom!

Hmmm, well I'm a pretty huge noob at crafting things
For mine I originally used Floral Foam but it fell apart too easily when I was carving it out. So it was hard to get the shape I wanted. Then the next set I used Insulation foam, which worked much better (It didn't make us itch either :pp)
Yours though are a little different. I proly wouldn't use any foam for these.
I would maybe look for some little portable fans and see if the propellers in them would work well
As far as the white outer ring you could probably get matching lids from containers and cut the tops out!

Good thing they are attached with a headband though!! That makes things a lot easier for sure :DD

No worries, I've already got headphones for the basic shape of the headset. The plan was to use carved and painted foam for the smaller nodules on the top of the headband. What kind of paint did you find works best on foam, in case I decide to use it for some smaller details/doohickeys?
A block of insulation foam might be exactly what I need to anchor the shoulder-gun in the backpack, too...

And I was under the impression, for some reason, that you were getting that pink stuff they cram into attic walls- you know, the Pink Panther brand- when you said 'insulation'. My bad.

Thanks! I am already having fun with it! I love cosplaying Persona 3. I love the Strega. I have been a Jin(Youmacon 2011,2012) and Mitsuru(ACen 2012) previously.

I totally think about doing this all the time. As I said previously, I love cosplaying Persona 3 and I love to hear about who's going to be there an how people's projects are going. Pyro Jack from ACen 2012 was awesome to see!

I'm still unsure if Yukari's going come back this ACen (mainly because of suitcase space, since I have a bulkier cosplay with me this year),but Fuuka is guaranteed to be there. I'm always hoping for a full SEES group but we always seem to fall one or two people short. Maybe this year~
