Hi there, me and my friends have been doing the Welcome to Gensokyo panel a couple years in a row now, and we've decided to go a new route with out next panel as we feel people might be getting tired of hearing us talk about the games in character.

We're going to be shooting for two panel slots. One for the usual panel which will retain the same recipe for the most part though less talk on the games themselves and more talk on the fandom.

We'll also be shooting to put together a 18+ panel for Touhou that will involve a lot of the doujin porn pairings, NSFW videos and images as we discuss what really goes on in Gensokyo when night falls.

We would love for you guys to run an 18+ panel on this. Our applications for 18+ panels last year were less than we'd hoped for, and we'll be pushing for more 18+ content at night. We even moved to renting our Double Tree panel rooms for the entire weekend instead of until midnight on Saturday so we could fit more 18+ content over there at night But of course, what you run is entirely up to your group I'm happy to see you're returning!

If these two go well at ACen 2013 then if I'm feeling suicidal about having a social life at ACen 2014 then I might run it as a 3rd panel. Unlikely, but maybe.

I like bringing up old threads. Anyway!

I've only been to ACen one year, and pretty new to conventions in general, but I wanted to run an idea past you all.

This idea has been stuck in my head for a panel called, "Funny Party in the Fog" (named after the Draw the Emotional album). This panel would be dedicated to the gobs of Touhou music arrangers out there. I figured I'd play some of the most loved PVs, introduce the crowd to a short crossfade of new music, a quick "name that tune" game, and maybe end with a pathetic attempt at dancing Cirno's Perfect Math Class. (Or Bad Apple if you guys are really looking for pathetic!)

Is this something that you think anyone might be interested in?

A music panel dedicated to Touhou is never a bad idea. I know someone has already applied for such a panel slot at ACen this year and they are still waiting for approval/denial.

ACen doesn't allow panelists to hand out food or drinks of any kind due to an agreement with the hotel. Sorry, cookies wouldn't be allowed. Souls however are always welcome and delicious!

As for people interested I know the YoumaCon Touhou music panel pulled in people, I was busy at the time however and was unable to attend so I didn't get to see it first hand.

If you keep it interesting as you have it described I'd think it'd be a fun experience. If you need dancers I know people in the Touhou community who do nothing but dance to those songs, hahah.

Also, have you heard about Midwest Touhou yet?

Thanks for the information! Sorry I'm so late replying. I was actually contacted by the people who're working to put up the panel this year. They seem to be the same group that hosted "Marisa Stole the Precious Beats" at Youmacon (which I didn't attend but I heard it had a good turn-out). We've been discussing it now, so hopefully, if they get approved, I'll be able to help them with their panels at future Acens and other midwest conventions.

They also invited me to Midwest Touhou via Facebook, so now I should be up to date on the going-ons!
