Chicago Pride Fest Following Sunday Pride Parade

Is anyone else thinking of going to this…

Pride Fest Hour of operation:
Fri June 22nd: 4p – 10p
Sat June 23rd: 11a – 10p
Cost: $7 mandatory donation @ gate
Location: Between Addison/Halsted and Broadway/Halsted

43rd Annual Pride Parade
Sun June 24th: 12p – 3p (starts at Corner of Montrose/Broadway)

Note: This is primarily a 21+ event< but youngsters are present

This festive two-day event June 22-23, 2012 - held before Chicago's iconic Pride Parade on June 24 –
marks the first official party of summer. $7 mandatory donation @ gate benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance.

Cosplay is possible and I have done it at Market Days and other events in the pass. But props are a big NO NO!!!

I plan on being there Saturday from 12noon to 8pm, I will not be cosplaying this year due to using public Trans.

May or may not work this, actually; I've been thinking of volunteering the event w/ the Trevor Project, but it may or may not be too late to sign up for that now.

Well I just be walking around and checking out a few stores, like beatniks and a few other. This area is kinda one of my stomping grounds for Cosplay construction items. Would be a plus to meet a few fellow Otaku's while there...

I'll be at the parade and then probably in Boy's Town all Sunday, but I doubt I'd be up for cosplay or meeting up unless someone is in the same area as me.
