I know last year I messed up royal, and so I want to make it up to you guys this year by having the best shoot I can. I have been talking with a photographer who has been taking pictures for 10 years now and is really interested in doing this shoot for me. I was hoping that we could have fun this year and, if I save up enough, I'm going to (most likely) bring Ice cream after the shoot. So what do you say? Will you guys give me another chance?

WHAT: Nostalgic Cosplay Photoshoot


WHEN: ACen 2013, SATURDAY @ 1:00 PM @ the TOWER OVERHANG. If RAINING we will meet at 1F BACK WALL!

To find the rain location, go into the Hyatt through the front revolving door. Head back past the glass stairs and back behind the Elevator Bank. This was where there is live music and sometimes people hanging out. You'll find us there incase of rain.

WHERE:Donald E. Stephen's Convention Center Rosemont IL, or the Hyatt O'hare Hotel.

WHO: YOU! The Cosplayers that enjoy dressing up as characters of the past. It's you that I want to do this for, and it's you that deserves the praise for taking the time to make such characters reality. My only request right now, Please let your Cosplay be from Before 2009, anything that was created under 5 years ago won't be allowed at this time. Sorry about that.

WHY: Because we all miss the glory days of Toonami, or the Kids WB, or Disney Afternoon, or even every Saturday morning line up or Weekday afternoon line up that existed. We want to celebrate that, so please won't you join me in enjoying the past for a day?

If you are planning on coming to this Gathering please state the following. (I'm making this list below due to last years incident where a congoer pretended to be staff and caused issues. This way I know roughly how many will be attending and I can keep the Staff informed about who will be there.)

As I said multiple times, for these older series we need a sort of mega group. Take for example, Tenchi Muyo! Despite everyone saying how much they loved it, this was the entirety of the shoot in 2012.



Needless to say, I think combination of smaller groups would work to our benefit, but the organization is going to be the killer.

I want an LoGH (late 80s to early mid 90s OVA series) Imperial Admiral Uniform... The only thing is, I don't want to order those online (crap quality) and is unsure if I want someone to make them for me yet (planning to lose weight first and then earn the money for commission). sooo... ;\

I just watched the live action Ranma 1/2 and I really want to cosplay my favorite character from the series, Ukyo Kuonji. It's sort of going to my cosplay roots. My first cosplay was Sango from InuYasha. For those not aware, the two characters are very similar, they actually share a voice actress in the English dubs.

I'm debating on some of these, given the fact that there's going to be a new Sailor Moon series coming out, so I'm pretty sure there will be more Sailor Moon cosplayers coming out too, same with DBZ, although Gundam Wing I'm seeing less of.

I'll put it to a vote on the top, if more popular series from that period should be involved or not. I really really really don't want what happened last year with the MLP situation.

Apparently some of the more rowdey pinky pies caused a distrubance around the video room last year, and confettiee was thrown, which should not have been causing the Video group to clean up a mess that they weren't supposed to.

@Cherry Wolf: I think...given the year, I'm going to start including early 2000s to the list too as a means of opening it up for some other series that came out at the start of the mellium. So yeah Ron and Kim would be awesome.

I'd love to cosplay as Gene Starwind from Outlaw Star for this. This may cause a conflict with my plans to do Gendo for Eva though. Once the boss beard goes away, so does Gendo.

My only request is simple. One, lets not over do it with the Anime, I may have to divide this up as different shoots at different times. But I'm willing to work with this.

Yes but again, no over doing the anime. (May need to see if next year to have two different shoots, one for west and one for east)

Also I need ideas on times and places since I need to fill out the form, and if anyone knows a photographer that will work for cheap (I have a feeling my main one won't be coming this year again) I would love to know so I could get in touch with them.

Okay firstly I found out I was too late to submit right now for the gatherings. (rubs head) Finally got a photographer, but urgh, I don't know what to do. How many people would like me to see if I can still get into the gathering, or option two: How many would like to help me plan for next year to make sure that I get everything together on time and know how many want to do this.
