ACen 2012 Attendance Totals? What were they?

Heyo. This was my first ACen, and I was just curious if the total otaku attended has been calculated yet? I wanna see how it compares to Anime Boston and Otakon.

Last years numbers were 23000+. So, more than Anime Boston, but less than Otakon. I honestly have no idea how many where here this year. It seemed like to me that there were less, but that could also be because it also seemed like there was better organization this year....

Ah cool. I thought as much. I enjoy all three cons, but given that AB and ACen fall within FIVE days of each other next year, vs the 2 weeks of this year, I think I'll drop AB and just come to ACen. xD

I thought last years numbers were 28000+

2007 - Selphie (FF8)
2008 - Mana (Malice Mizer)
2009 - Gardenia Mana (Malice Mizer), Selphie (FF8)
2010 - Gardenia Mana (Malice Mizer), Homunculus (Shadow of Destiny)

Last years numbers were 23,000 and some.. They were not 28000. Our 2012 numbers will be announced soon.

I thought someone in another thread blurbed out a number of 24k. Post The way it was posted makes me believe 24k was passed yet 25k was not reached.

Still wondering if they are going to release official numbers like they usually do. Seems odd they are waiting so long since these numbers are easily available.

Hello to all our fellow members of Anime Central! At last we have our long awaited final attendance numbers for this year. Cue the drum roll… Anime Central 2012 had 24,316 fans, staff and guests join us in Rosemont to celebrate our 15th anniversary! We here want to thank everyone who attended this year, without you Anime Central would not be possible.

We look forward to seeing all your faces next year for Anime Central's Sweet 16 May 17th -19th, 2013. Remember to check our website for updates on registration information, hotel reservation block opening dates and new guest announcements!
