This is just a curious question.

Does the wonderful masquerade staff of ACEN take their magic to any other cons? Do you guys work together at another con's masquerade?

Not sure if you guys are hedonistic masochistic enough to do this more than once a year

I know Jon and Jazz work over at Anime World Chicago.. I personally work as ADH of Guest Relations for Youmacon. Jessie? Jessie is everywhere in the country. We try and keep our staff together where possible.

I have worked at other conventions but not in their Masquerade departments. I know Jon does work for the AnimeWorld programming department.

However, I can only get to so many conventions per year due both money and vacation days. When I have to burn 6 days of vacation time to go to a convention, it really limtis what I can do. In the future, I do want to try to swing out to KatsuCon and a few others.

This year, I am planning(transport arranged and paid for, hotel reserved) to go the Nan Desu Kan out in Denver.

Nashicon 2011: Helped with the maid cafe, co-ran the bad anime room, and ran the con stories panel.
Matsuricon 2010: Registration staff.

ACen is the only convention I do this much work for. I accidentally ran the NYAF Masq one year. Usually I'm in guest relations or judging if I am staffing at a convention.

I help out the masquerades as needed @ both CollisionCon and AnimeWorldChicago. This typically means I play "stage manager" (sometimes do skit reviews, line up folks, take care of skit audio, and that kind of stuff). I've helped out a couple others from time to time, but usually only when asked. In other words, I put in hours @ the con, but the real work which is pre-con? Someone else takes care of that!
