2012 will be my fourth Youmacon. I can say that I am happythat they have expanded the convention to Cobo Hall, the RenCen was overcrowdedlast year. Also there is no need to walk to Cobo Hall. The People Mover (Detroit'sattempt at elevated transit) runs in a closed loop, which has stations insideof the RenCen and Cobo, convenient ne?

I'll have to see how this goes for me as far as work is. They want me back West for opening, but from what I hear I can be able to squeeze this in. Unlike last year where I bit a 50 dollar bullet due to work circumstances, I'm making sure that doesn't happen again.

Of course anytime I think of Detroit I also laugh uncontrollably to the point I start tearing up.

The main hotel is full that weekend.Is there another hotel or string of hotels close-by, like at ACen?Or am I SOL? Google maps seems to be leaning this way.

It's doubtful I'll be attending as Rondo and Isamu arent going. Also my works stupid, and that will take up the majority of my vacation time. I can give you a heads up if I decide not to, and maybe transfer the room to you?

Sounds good! My boyfriend and I need a room kind of close because he's doing a cosplay where he doesn't have use of his hands, so frequent trips to the room are kind of a must. >w<That being said, if we can't find a hotel close by, or a room with decent rates, we'll probably be skipping Youma altogether to save money for moving.
