So, just curious if anyone else is sick after the convention? I high fived way too many people without any hand sanitizer it seems

I think I am immune to con plague, but I generally only get sick once a year.

I was already sick to start and washed my hands when I could so I did get sick because of the weather. I wished it warmer outside. I avoided the high fives telling them I didn't want them to get sick some were understanding or figured it out when I started coughing into my sweater.

Luckily my wife didn't so that's all that matter, but according to FB, most people I know that went are sick now.

I am sitting here with a terrible cold. My throat is on fire. I have a bag of coldeze and cough drops, and my humidifier is on full blast.

I never seem to get sick after ACen. Not sure why. I think it's because I ride the CTA everyday which is kind of like going to ACen every day.

I think I'm just immune to everything.

I'm glad I didn't get sick either. I tend to never do. Tho I ALWAYS wash hands and other stuff. I high fived, but washed hands like crazy later. lol

I just realized something... I touched the crap out of money (working in the Alley) and then I ate trail mix without washing my hands first. That is almost worse than shaking everyone's hands, but shockingly I remain healthy.

I do have a burst blood vessel in my eye though... not sure when it happened, but it might have been a bad sneeze on Sunday.

Was of foul health going in and out. Spent most of my time confined to the hotel room, ugh. I am seeing an end to this...finally after 2+ weeks. Breather and steriods are helping quite a bit.

I was sick during the convention, sadly I'm still not feeling good, had to go to the doc...felt like crap half the time but I tried to stick it through. I stayed my distant from people though I didn't want to get anyone else sick on top of santizing myself before I went into the dealers room or anything like that.

I got sick earlier this year, and it was not at all fun. It was a double dip sick where I was really sick for a week, then I got slightly better, then I got hit again.

Absolutely hated it, but I'm glad it got out of my system and I didn't catch anything from fellow geeks.

Got a minor head cold after going Friday; managed to get through the remainder of the con with a mild sore throat and a general "not so great" feeling. Now I'm at the clearing out phase (coughing and sneezing) just in time for my finals.

Still, nowhere near as bad as it could have been (public transit has a way of teaching you how to avoid major illness when people around you are kind enough to share germs and viruses).

i was drinking V8 all this weekend for breakfest and also ate more healthy, really the only unhealthy thing i had was chips, candy and coke. i brought V8 fusion, bananas, yogert, and apples, i went out to eat but never too MCdonlds, only at the hyaat resterants.

with that i didn't get sick, but on sunday i had a "oden sleep" where i sleep most of the day.

I didn't get a chance to do my usual ritual of Vitamin C directly injected into my heart and lots of rest before the con because it was a spur of the moment decision whether I was going or not, but I tried not to touch anyone or anything that I didn't need to and washed my hands at every chance I got, and *knock on wood* no sickness yet.

Had a cold for 2 weeks (lost my voice twice!) before con and it blissfully left long enough for me to go in relative comfort.

Considering my extremely low immune system and the amount of stress I've been under in the week prior to the con and the con itself (my panel, packing, incidents at work, etc.), I'm actually pleasantly surprised I'm not sick. At worse, my allergies have been acting up, I've had the typical pain spurts in my knee and back, and I've had one or two more migraines than usual from being exposed to extremely loud environments on little sleep for long periods of time.

Otherwise, I seemed to escaped the con with minimal problems. I am pleased with that. XD Now hopefully I can keep that up.

I must be completely immune to the Con Plague. ACen 2012 was my 8th year attending and I have never gotten so much as a sniffle after attending ACen. I'm not one of the people that walks around with a huge bottle of hand sanitizer, either.

I was the kid that used to eat dirt when I was younger... Dirt must be responsible for my amazing immune system.

That said, I'm sorry you do not feel well. Lots of zinc! And Vitamin C! But not at the same time (because they inhibit the absorption of each other)!

I don't have the best immune system either, and considering depressing events, I'm a little surprise I'm not sick either o.o It was so cold during acen too! ugh!

I'm always *freezing* and I thought it was pleasantly warm... then again it *was* warmer than the past few weeks had been in Wisconsin, so maybe that's why.
