When I went to the WTC photoshoot this year, I had this bad feeling that it might be the last one just due to how old WTC is. Well I was totally wrong. We had a bunch of new people join us and I loved having all the Higurashi cosplayers join us in the Umineko group. So here we go with a thread to plan next year.

Anyone thinking of trying a different character or any new plans?

It was a lot of fun combining this year. Kind of helped out us Higurashi group since we only ended up with 6 or 7 people.

I'm not sure if I'll change or not. I was considering either doing Keiichi one more year or retiring him, just not sure. Also considering doing Battler or Sakutaro for next year.

Hello everyone, I had lots of fun at the shoot and hope I can come back again for ACen 2013. I was Battler (and even by August, my hair is STILL somewhat red from the dye I used XD) during the shoot and I also cosplayed as Ange part of the time ;D

But the main reason I'm making this post is that I want to ask a question about the fighting game. After the panel, I was still dressed as Battler and a friend cosplaying a siesta sister was there too, we were playing as our characters in the game, which was highly entertaining ^^. I think we were playing on Gohda's laptop??
well anyway, I've been trying to download the fighting game because I want to play it again. ...buuuuuttt i've been having some issues getting it working and was wondering if the people I played it with at the con, or anyone else who knows about it might be able to help?

I have the original downloaded (not cross expansion) and the patch with is most recent - which i believe is 1.10. I was able to get the game installed, and the patch too. When i click the start icon to play it, the game launches fine. The opening video plays...but i cannot access the menu. None of my keys seem to work on the game, except for 'esc' which quits it. Do i need a game controller to play it? I didn't think so, based on what I read online, keyboard should work, but mine isn't for some reason...

sorry for ranting and being kinda off-topic-ish XD well, any help would be appreciated, thanks guys!

I was the Featherine again this year and Im honestly not sure what I want to do. Ive pondered changing costumes since well it would be three years in a row but I have no idea what to try.

@Lita. I have the actual game and just used Xbox 360 controllers in my USB ports. Made it really simple to play.

Of course we are!! Got to do something to show our fandom for a show that is sadly very over and getting more and more fringe every year

On a cosplay note, If I were to retire Featherine, any idea what I should do??

Just a note if you guys didn't know before, but the Umineko manga is coming out later this year. Also, brand new news: NIS America picked up Umineko and is coming out this December.

I've been digging through my closet to gather clothes to take back to college, and while doing that, I found several pieces that when combined I thought make a decent Erika outfit. So I put it on today just to see how it would look...

hm. I think its got potential. The colors are a little darker, but, eh. And even if I don't end up going through and finishing it, I had fun today shooting these pictures and doing creepy Erika poses.

I would need to get a wig (instead of just drawing longer hair on myself with an image editor XDD),,,and I'm fairly certain I would need to get myself a good pirate hat >;D

Soooo....What do you think everyone?!?

Looks like you would need to clean it up a bit but it should turn out pretty good.

Well I don't think I will be cosplaying Umineko this year unless something changes. My Beatrice who makes my costumes and usually has to get me into the Featherine dress will not be coming this year so odds are I will not be doing Featherine either. I might try to come up with a different idea but so far nothing has really come to me. I'll do my best to attend the photoshoot as usual, I just don't think I'll be in costume.

I'm sorry to hear that. If she wants to participate at my panel I'll try my best to set up something that will work, like a Skype conference call.

I'm getting the head finish by the end of the weekend. My commissioner is my best friend's cousin and he got on his butt on it to the point he's spending the next couple of days at his house and finishing it up. All he has to do is fur the base of the head and he's done. All I need to do on my end is to get a suit vest and a red tie and I'm done.

Just a notice to everyone who reads this thread. Our photoshoot is on FRIDAY at 7PM in the garden, just like the first year. I do not know when my panel is, but when I requested it, I asked for it not to overlap with the photoshoot for us.

Just popping in, I won't be bringing my Siesta 00 this year. But I will be present at the photoshoot to assist Teebs with what clever poses we all have in mind to get them all fit in.
