My con depression was during my entire vacation which also encompassed ACEN. If post con, this year, means feeling better, then bring it on.

It's always a little sad to see a con end.

But I was also a little glad that it was over. I do not think my feet could take another day of walking back and forth between panel rooms.

My first convention, when it ended I cried a bit on the ride home, I didn't want it to end and go back to school.

No worries, I cried, too.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who sprung a leak on Sunday. As I told my Michigan pals I cried because every time I see them it gets really hard to see them go. I don't have that group dynamic in my life outside of the work place so it just seems so unnatural to me to be surrounded by them.

But I can't be too sad. Things are looking up for me, and if all goes according to plan I'll be able to start living life the way I want to. And OP, wait until you get out of school. Life is different outside the confines of the American Educational System, and if they haven't already, things like loans, debt, jobs, and unprecedented personal growth come at you like minigun fire. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just giving you a heads up of what is to come outside of the concentration camps high school (Or whatever it is you are attending.)

I'm so glad that other people get sad too! LOL. Not that I want anyone to be sad, but at least I know it's normal.

I went back to school today, wearing my ugly school uniform and I was surrounded by superficial boring unfriendly people and OH HOW I MISS ACEN AND THE PEOPLE THERE. T^T

I was fine until i went to school, and i realized how much "real life" sucks. :/ It's a drag to say the least. The people at school are so unfriendly and "sterio-typically teenager like" xD It makes me miss the friendly folks at ACEN who let me hug them. :3

The reason I love conventions is because I love that feeling of "belonging". Like someone else said, "These are my people!"

It's the most amazing feeling when you're surrounded by thousands of people who just "get it".

IRL, hardly anyone i know "gets it". >_<

I felt the EXACT SAME WAY. School uniform and everything. I've been so depressed the past few days it's not even funny. I'm definitely getting a room and a 3-day pass next year. Going all out!

Post con depression smacked me upside the head Sunday night, right after post-con dinner with buddies at Denny's. I'm still not sure how I managed to get all the way home without crying at all. I usually get a smidge of sadness after cons, but ACen always hits me the hardest.

I am sad that the con is over. there was a huge very personal reason for me going. it was a time for me to finally do something that i wanted to do for myself. buy what i wanted to buy, talk to whoever i wanted to talk to and act however i wanted. for almost 4 years that wasnt me and i felt so confined. for the first time in a very long time i had fun with friends who i can honestly say i love and cherish. this con pretty much made me ME again and im going to greatly miss it :)
the moral being "never forget who you are"
till next year people ^_^

So sad. It was the first time my friends and I have all gone to a con together and it was so fun (and it was the first time in 3 years I've been able to go to a con, too!) We were already trying to figure out if we could make it to any other cons this year as we were driving home, haha, but it looks like we won't make to another one 'til ACen '13.

It's hard to wait a whole year!

All the yelling to "Hug the wall, kiss it, caress it, name is Lisa..." - yea. I'm good not yelling that for awhile. :>

I agree with the killing of the feet. I shall bring better shoes next year with new socks.

I agree with the killing of the feet. It is better to be sick then to get sick. Rapid weather changes affect me every time.
