This is my first time going to the Con and I ordered my badge online, but chose to pick it up at the Con...will I be picking this up in the same line as the "horror line" that I keep hearing about?

Assuming you already paid online, you get it in the Registration area, but at the Will Call booths instead of the new attendees/need to pay lines/booths. If you will be there Thursday evening, you can go get your badge before all the madness of the weekend, or just try to get in there as early as you can on Friday.

The "horror line" was 4 years ago and a number of problems caused that. Since you paid and are just picking it up I'd do what above poster said; get there on Thursday and pick it up. Shouldn't take long and even if it does you aren't missing any convention.

Unless they do what they did last year and had both those that pre registered and the at cons in the same libe til they got inside. Pre reg line was at least 2.5 hours Last time on Thursday.

A couple years in a row, I've gone later in the evening on Thursday, a few hours after badge pick-up opens, and had no wait at all to pick up the badge, or just like a 5 minute wait, because all the people who were determined to wait in line starting at noon and so on had already gotten through and were out of the way.

I think it was two years ago that I got there, there was no one at all in the line I needed to be in, so I just walked up to the station... and the guy behind the table was asleep because no one had come through that line for awhile. I kinda felt bad waking him up to get my badge.

Yeah that Thursday line was ridiculous last year.

If they sold single day badges online it would truely decrease the 4 hour line to get a single day badge...
