Hi everyone, I have been wanting to cosplay as Enid Coleslaw from Ghost World for a while and was going to this year but she isn't from an anime or manga. She's from a comic/graphic novel. Would it be a cosplay faux pas to cosplay as a comic/graphic novel character at an anime convention?

Not at all. You can cosplay what ever your heart tells you. There are many cosplayers at who cosplay many different things, for example: Disney, video games, Marvel/DC, American graphic novels.

Yay, thanks for the speedy answer Ashikana. I was just hesitant seeing that it's called an anime convention, and I didn't want to accidently upset someone.
