I've noticed discrepancies between the PDFs on the Panel Programming page, and the Guidebook app. For example, Guidebook has the Osamu Tezuka panel at 10 AM Friday, and the PDFs show it at 10 PM. Is one more canonical than the other? Are both being updated from the same data source and at more or less the same time?

Also, the big "guest" blocks in the PDFs don't seem to be in Guidebook. Are these basically TBAs?

Thanks in advance.

I'd go with the guidebook app info since it's more current than the PDF one, which came out weeks ago. The PDF is not as current and is still a draft when it came out. Between the time the PDF was released and the app being released, the panel time may have switched from 10pm to 10am. I'd wait until the final non-app schedule is released in the next few days, like they always do a few days before the con begins.

As for those guest blocks, they're TBA all right. I'm sure they got the final schedule all done and is just approving it amongst the ACen staff.

Are you referring to Guest Signings and Guest Panel Programming in the guidebook?

The blocks marked "Guest" on the PDF version have been replaced with the actual guest panels. If you go to Guidebooks Acen main page -> Tracks -> Guest Panel Programming you will see what, where, and when of the guest panels.

Actually, as of right now the PDFs on the panel programming page are more up-to-date than that Guidebook app, as the PDFs were updated this weekend, and the Guidebook was updated once, but I didn't notice any schedule changes. I know since a panel I'm on had to be moved, and the Guidebook app still shows the old time, while the PDF shows the new one.

As a panelist I'd like to know as well what is the case here, as the guidebook has my All Ages DDR workshop as only 1 hour Sunday until noon, then my Children's/Under 14 run of the same panel at 1 until 4pm, timetables not from any setup I've seen.

Are these updates keyed to the PDF updates (if not please make it so)? Panelists really need to know ahead of time where to go when, especially when their time/location has changed from the last they knew. In our case, we have to lug ~10 giant DDR mats, and PS2 systems, and potentially TVs (if Panel doesn't get back to us on that!), not to even mention having to set it all up, so we really need to know before hand what time we really start at. That, and seeing as half + of the people in my group & panel need to be in the "other" airport waiting for a plane at 2:40, this will be a serious problem if the schedule has changed again since the (2nd-to-prior "final"?) schedule that had us 9-1. As a panelist, I/we really need to know this stuff, and not having a final timetable out that is for sure the real Final Version is a bit of a concern/problem, especially considering how many changes were made just this last time around alone (heaven's help us if there are more).

The Guidebook lists a Tiger and Bunny block at 9pm on Saturday, but it's not on the pdf. Is it still going to happen, and if so...what IS it? Loving it otherwise, by the way! Much easier to see what's going on and I can set reminder alerts.

Anyone know when we're gonna get at least a relatively finished schedule here? I REALLY want to start planning out my time at Acen. I only have a cheap emergency-only phone, so no fancy apps for me.

Is there any wifi available at the convention center and the hyatt hotel lobby?

But the most important part of the schedules for me and many people, the guest panel times, are left blank. All they say is "guest." So I can't plan anything. I don't attend non-guest panels.

People are saying the schedules on the smartphones have guest info, so I don't understand why the schedules online - which are far more accessable to those without nice phones (and even people without internet access can go online at their local library) - weren't updated first? Or...at all?

I've found that the Guidebook is accessible without a phone, you can get to it here --> http://m.guidebook.com/429/35482/

Would be nice if the autograph slots and rosemont ballroom events were added to the PDFs. I had to manually look them up on the "guidebook" and compile the 2 lists together.. Considering the guidebook doesn't list the room unless you doubleclick on each event, it was a huge pain in the butt..

We have another update going to the Guidebook soon. We are aware of the Tezuka panel and will be fixing it, along with a handful more that are slightly off but will be corrected asap. Guest panels were just sent to us yesterday and I have added them to the schedule, after a little formatting I will have those posted. The main programming events are not under my department but I will see what I can do to get those posted.

As for internet, as of right now the Hyatt does have free wifi, I don't know how reliable it will be during the convention though but it should work :) It worked for me during the business conference that was there this past weekend.

It isn't a panel, it looks like it is a gathering so it wouldn't be in the panels pdf.

So... I found the panels for VGO meet and greet, etc.

might want to include that on the guidebook app, under "main events" is when you can see a lot of the large performances. Took me about 30 minutes of clicking around to figure that out. Kind of a royal pain.

Also: 1-2pm on Saturday on Guidebook says "after the 2nd VGO concert" panel.

VGO on Guidebook is playing 12-1 on SUNDAY.

Discrepency? which is it?

Could you elaborate on what your question is, or clarify what you are saying. I am a bit confused on what you are actually getting at.

Sure:

Saturday 100-200 has a panel in the Hyatt London saying "after VGO's second performance" http://m.guidebook.c...9/event/265522/

However, Sunday at 12pm is when VGO's second performance is. http://m.guidebook.c...9/event/265474/

Both of these are according to the Guidebook App.

So.. is VGO performing on Saturday? or Sunday? which is it?

Neither of these are on any print version that I can find on the site, so I've linked Guidebook directly.

That is a discrepancy. The panel was originally planned for after their second concert, but had to be moved due to conflicts in the schedule. I will put in a request to have the description changed to clarify that is is a regular Q&A for VGO, not a post-performance Q&A.
Thanks for pointing out the issue so we can get it fixed!

Okay! So the 1-2pm Saturday is just a normal Q&A with VGO, and the 2nd performance is 12-1 on Sunday? Awesome. Thank you for clearing this up. I'll adjust my schedules accordingly. (As much VGO time as possible.. twitch)

I can't believe it's the Wednesday before Acen and there isn't even a rough copy of the panel schedule in PDF form that includes guest panel and autograph times. The Guidebook layout is very confusing.

If you choose the "Tracks" icon in Guidebook it brings up schedules broken down by type. If you don't have a smartphone, you can still access the Guidebook app here: http://m.guidebook.com/429/

Yeah, but that schedule is a little more confusing to me, and it can't be printed out and highlighted like the PDF schedule can.

Were panels and viewing rooms that were 18+ not listed on the Guidebook? Our panel was not listed anywhere on the app, so I am just curious.

Edit: Nevermind, I found it. It was listed on Friday instead of Saturday.
