So i was just making a mental checklist of what I was going to buy this year. I'm planning on getting a body pillow, a kuroshitsuji figurine, a kuroshitsuji artbook, Harry Potter doujinshi, maybe a plushie or two, and jewelry. Perhaps some clothes. OH, and manga.

And I'll be checking for good manga deals.But I've got a strict budget due to an unforeseen trip I have to make right on the Sunday of con, so I probably won't even get half of that unless I haggle a bit.

Dealers Room: planning to see if Hendane might have a copy of the Windows version of Galaxy Angel. It's remarkably difficult to find, so I suspect that I'll have to use an import service. And if any board game vendor offers bargains, I'll give them a chance. Otherwise, I don't expect to spend much in the dealers room. Generally speaking, I can find a good percentage of the dealers room items at local stores, and nearly everything is available through online retail.

Artist Alley: I look for clever, unique things... especially ones that are durable enough that they won't be ruined by the time I get home. I also look for content related to series that I'm currently enjoying, especially if it doesn't cost too much. For instance, while I liked Bakemonogatari, I don't feel compelled to spend money on import figures. And while I've enjoyed MLP:FIM, I'm still holding off on buying one of the quality shirts from We Love Fine.

My main goals for A-Cen:
-Any OOP CLAMP volumes or series I'm missing (Angelic Layer, Chobits, and Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, just to name a few)
-Angelic Layer DVD singles I'm missing (2-5 and 7) to complete my artbox
-If available, any Akuma to Love Song or Glass Mask Japanese volumes (I don't know if there will be any vendors that deal in Japanese manga, or if I'll have to go to Mitsuwa's bookstore)

Otherwise, I'll be seeing what cheap manga I can pick up to help complete or catch up on several of my series, and maybe see if Funimation will have the FMA: Brotherhood movie available as a con-early release. As well as buttons, possibly some dollfie clothes, and a new purse or tote.

Dealer's room: probably some doujinshi if I can find anything I like. I'll probably check for Kyoko/Sayaka stuff primarily. Maybe some of my Hetalia ships that I don't have much of, but I mostly want het and yuri stuff. Hen Da Ne seldom delivers for het and yuri from yaoi-heavy fandoms, sob. Maybe a visual novel, though idk what. Figures tend to be overpriced at cons so idk if I'll actually buy any or not, but I'll have my eyes open for figures of Dead Master and Canaan. If I see anything MLP: FiM or Dragon Age that I like, I'm all over that. Possibly small Hetalia merchandise that I don't already have, though there isn't a whole lot that I want but haven't gotten. Madoka and Panty and Stocking merchandise are also big ones. Maybe some Sengoku Basara one coins that I don't already have. I'd like a Kenshin for my Kasuga in particular. Also a collar. I love collars okay. And Pawstar makes good stuff. Also Fate/ things oh yes. I'm generally a big fan of small merchandise. Stuff like phone charms, keychains, trading figures and gashapon, etc. Cute little cheap things rock.

Arist Alley: I always get commissions every year. I think I'll do 2 this year. I know one of them is going to be f!Hawke/Merrill from Dragon Age 2. The other I'm kind of torn on between a few options. I think I'll just print off reference pictures for a bunch of ideas and decide when I'm there. Also I'll have my eye out for Hetalia stuff of my favorite characters (sob why do my favorites have to be side characters and not main Axis/Allies? I just want Austria, Hungary, and the other girls okay), Madoka stuff for Walpurgisnacht, Kyoko, Sayaka, and Mami (also Kyoko/Sayaka and Mami/Madoka), MLP stuff that catches my eye (especially Rarity), Adventure Time stuff (Marceline/Princes Bubblegum please~? ;3; and Flame Princess! ...also Ice Queen/Fionna what is wrong with me), and Dragon Age 2 stuff of f!Hawke, Merrill, Isabela, and Bethany in particular (I'll probably be SOL here because all the fandom cares about is Fenris and Anders sob).

Basically looking for stuff from my main fandoms, in short.

O_O I was just looking at merch, considering I am on an extremely tight budget due to some unforeseen events involving my funds (originally was bringing $100 to spend but there some things I need to take care of before con). Unfortunately I'll only have a good $40 to spend on merch because of budgeting, hopefully next year I'll put about $200 to the side.

Dealer's Hall: Charms, keychains, anything that might be related to series I'm into currently. Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Code Geass, Vocaloid (just now starting to love them), possibly looking for merch related to Sailor Moon and xxxHolic. My life would be more complete if I could afford the Yu Yu Hakusho box set to get signed but meh.

Artist Alley: Buttons! I always get at least ten to fifteen buttons for my bags every ACEN! Also going to be looking at specific booths, certain webcomics I read online and want to support. May actually shell out for cheap T-shirts and hats during Sunday if I still have enough.

Commissions are oddly addictive. It doesn't help that I have a tendency to ship things that no one else cares about, either. ='| I have a few pairings where my commissions for it were the first piece of art for the ship I ever found. My Monaco/Liechtenstein commission from last year, for instance.

I'm still trying to decide what I want this year, I need to pick a pose for my f!Hawke/Merrill...then figure out if I'm going with Hungary/fem!Austria, Hungary/fem!Prussia, fem!Prussia/fem!Germany, France/Seychelles, Kyoko/Sayaka, or Luna/Rarity for the second. So many choices!

after that i usually prioritize any merch that is decent quality and white mage oriented, OR any art from the hall if i enjoy the artist's style.hmm, maybe i'll get someone to draw my character this year.that would be a first, me commissioning someone else as opposed to the other way around >.>
