As we are now within 10 days of con. It's time to start checking the forecast to see how it's gonna be. So far only Thursday the 26th is up and it says it'll be Partly Cloudy with 68 as the high. So far so good.

yah..it IS april folks, lets not anger the god's of chicago weather by bitching. It could be 40 and raining all day, or 60 and sunny, or 50 and windy as sin with overcast. sooo near 70 degrees? i'll take it

If it rains Thursday, that's fine by me, considering I still have a four hour shift at work to deal with that day and LOTS of packing, planning, printing, and triple-checking to do that night.

My biggest concerns for weather will be Friday and Saturday. While my main cosplay will be relatively cool to wear, it is still long sleeves and leggings with boots, so I'm a bit concern with any long walks out in the sun and high 60s to mid 70s with getting overheated, and I'm concerned with rain since a majority of my cosplay is white. XP However, hopefully the weather will cooperate pretty well and I won't have any worries.

60s would be nice, still early, 3 days before is usually pretty accurate.

A "chance of rain" doesn't necessarily mean it's going to rain though.
Anyway the forecast is looking better now, but as others said it's not very accurate this far ahead.

I've noticed something with the weather, it's usually around 50's/60's during the day and FREEZING (40's bleh) at night. Hopefully it'll get better magically in the next few days so I can look forward to wearing my cosplay.

The best time to check the waether for acen is on Tues or Wed because it will be the most
accurate then...

An Nikki and others said DON'T upset the weather gods.... Acen is usualy known for rain, if it has to
rain i'd perfer it rains late evening or late night so the cosplayers can have their photoshots outside...

I'd like to see the weather in the mid 70's my self, it looks like jacket weather for acen so far....

Every hour & every day I see some thing different. I'd prefer near 70. We don't want it to be too hot for large & heavy cosplays, but not too cold for the skimpy cosplays. A little rain will never hurt, but major rain on a busy cosplay day would be a disaster. Just imagine all of us inside at once. Or those who spray painted their hair. Hope for a pleasant week end.
