So, I have to take the Metra to get to Chicago and then take the L train to Rosemont.
I was curious, can you get a Weekend pass for the train on a Friday?

(( Sorry if this topic isn't supposed to be under Acen Questions...^^; ))

I'm not sure, I've never had to buy one before I needed it. I think you can only get what is available on that day. Maybe you can purchase them online.... But I'm not sure.... I realize this probably doesn't help much. I normally just buy them on the train or at the station for that day.

Yeah you can. I take the metra downtown to Chicago to my college everyday but yes you can get a weekend pass. for fri, sat, sun, However so you don't waste a weekend pass I would just buy a round trip ticket from ..... whatever station you're coming from. bbecause a round trip is essential just two rides. to get where you need to go and get back home . ad If i'm not mistaken a round trip is cheaper than a weekend pass

A Metra weekend pass is defined as $7 for "Unlimited rides on both Saturday and Sunday." Please keep in mind that Friday is not included.

You can go to your local station and ask if it's possible to purchase a weekend ticket ahead of time. The only tickets which can be purchased online are ten-rides and monthly passes.

Hi, though I'd add some stuff since I work at Ogilvie Stn :)
The weekend pass is indeed 7USD, but if you are only riding twice, it is cheaper to buy a round trip which is roughly 5USD, depending on your zone.
Most stations are closed on Sat/Sun but you can buy your ticket on the train with no extra cost. But if your station is open, better buy it there b/c it's 3USD more if you buy it on the train when your station is open O.O

Last time I bought the round trip, it was just 2 tickets with an expiration date for a month. You can some times save a dollar by buying them at the train station rather than on the train. Except at Olivine. You can always get your questions answered by any one selling tickets & the Olivine station even has an information booth.
