Yes, you can buy your badge at the door. Are you going all 3 days or just one? I think you should buy your badge at the convention up to this point since Acen is about 3 weeks away and stuff can happen like a lost badge in the mail which is the worst thing that can happen. The full badge are a bit pricey (I forgot how much but just go on Anime Central's home page and click on Registration) and the one day badges are around $35.00 (Check. My calculation can be wrong). Good luck!

Good tip!: Try to get to the line early (like around 8AM). Since Acen is a huge convention and is the third largest in the U.S., you will be staying at the line for a while if you don't get to the line fast.

Click here to get answers your questions.

You will have time to Get the Will Call until the April 15 after that you will have to wait in line with the rest of the people wanting to get a badge.

A lot of people register at the con. You will definitely not be the only one.

As others have said, arrive early on Friday or Saturday morning, and plan to wait for a few hours. Bring money, healthy food, water, comfortable clothes, portable entertainment, a positive attitude, and a lot of patience. Be sure to read other topics on this site/forum about registration and lines.

Don't worry. About 938742462837462 people buy their badges as the door, and therein lies the problem. Wear comfy shoes. You could be standing in line for a fair amount of time.

Hopefully the lines for people will be better this year. I know there were some technical difficulties with the system last year that were fixed. So cross your fingers Murphy's Law doesn't crop up with something new this year :)

As always, despite the best planning, problems can arise, so prepare for a several hour wait. But hopefully everyone will be pleasantly surprised this year. Bring a copy of Fluxx or Apples to Apples or something to keep yourself busy :)

I'm surprised no one from Reg has responded, and they would be the "official" word.

So I'll tell you what I have in my notes:

Thursday April 26th at DESCC from 4PM till 10PM
Friday April 27th (also DESCC) 8am till 8pm
Saturday April 28th 8am till 7pm
Sunday April 29th 8am till 2pm (afternoon)

Do not line up overly early.

Above subject to change and verification by ACen Reg Dept.

I would honestly recommend NOT buying at the door unless you absolutely HAVE to. I hadn't bought my badge when I got to acen last year, and had to stand in the awful line for badges for about 5, 6 hours

Well, if she doesn't have a badge, but wants to attend, she has no other option but to buy her badge at the door.

I have a quick question about buying badges at the door. Do you have to be a certain age to buy a badge at the con? I am 16 years old, and I have my state ID, so will I be able to purchase a saturday adge at the con if I just bring my ID and the money? Or will I be stopped because I am under 18?

You're allowed to attend Acen. Acen is an all-ages, family-friendly convention.

Well because last time me and some friends tried to buy badges at the con, they said we needed an adult with a photo ID

Hi! This is my first ACEN and unfortunately I missed the preregistration deadline... I was wondering if it's better to buy a badge at the door on Thursday evening or Friday morning? Or does it matter?

Either day is fine to purchase your badge! If you're able to come on Thursday the wait might be a bit shorter, just because not as many people come in on Thursday. But that's up to you & when you're able to come in. :)
