My travails with Sharpie dyeing a wig were many, but I persevered and got my wig to a more-or-less finished state. I carefully placed it in a kitty-proof location, that just happened to get great afternoon sun. I was horrified to discover, some one week later, that it had almost faded back to it's original white state. So now I must re-dye. Is there anything I can do to protect the color -- besides locking it in a dark closet?

Try putting it in a dark bag or something that can block it from the sun. Put a hat or lid on it.
