Has anyone been charged by the Hyatt yet? First Night Deposit
#1

So when I reserved my room at the Hyatt they said there would be a one night deposit required that would be charged on April 4th. I still haven't seen any charge hit my card yet. I've called both the main Hyatt reservation line and the hotel itself and they both said it's being worked on and it should go through soon.
I'm just curious if anyone else has actually seen this charge hit yet or if it's just me. Because if it's just me then I'm going to start to get a tad worried.

I had the same concern... I'm calling first thing tomorrow morning to see what the deal is, the 4th never had a charge made that day. But I haven't checked since. Guess I will find out tomorrow.

My card is Chase and still hasn't been charged. :-/
Well if it helps anyone I was told when I called that I needed to talk to the Accounting/Bookeeping Department to check if a charge has been attempted or not. I don't have a direct number but you should call the Hyatt maybe and ask for that area.

OH GOD. I just called them and they said my card was declined because it expired. I asked them why they hadn't called to tell me so and they said they don't make calls. They said if I hadn't called and given them my new credit card just now, they would have cancelled my reservation next week. D: What kind of customer service is that??? Any notification at all would have been fine, even an email.

And that is exactly why I made this thread and advised people to call to make sure, because I was really worried about something like that happening. Glad you got your reservation worked out though.
For everyone else coming to this thread: If you haven't been charged by the Hyatt call them right now!

Also, double check those expiration dates on your card.

I checked my card again and there's an authorization there now for $190.97 TWICE. Sigh. Hope it sorts itself out on Monday, otherwise I'll be calling the Hyatt again.
Since they're authorizations one will likely fall off and not go through. If not just consider it paying for more of your hotel room in advance.

I checked my card again and now it's been debited THREE times and credited once. D: They're still authorizations so I'm hoping they fall off, but they're really screwing something up. This is really crappy because it's my debit card, so all that money is on hold.
