Just wondering who has plans to have open invites on hotel parties this year, I'm interested in attending them of course I wont be coming empty handed, message me the info etc and i'll be glad to swing by and parrttyy

I know of at least one party, and one that will most likely happen (I am just waiting for him to post his usual thread.). You dont have to look too hard to find parties though.

Seconded (thirded...fourthed?) that parties aren't hard to find.Just follow the steady stream of drunk kids.Or ask around.
I usually only go to one or two every year, but they're handled responsibly and usually card.Oh, but a word of warning: Be wary of the activities going on inside the room as well as on the balcony.
I ended up going to a room with a friend for a drink, and the police busted in.Turns out there were a hoard of people on the balcony with a whole lot of illegal drugs, who I didn't even know were there until the cops dragged them all in.Luckily everyone got off scott free, but it was pretty scary for a second.

Which is also a good note to those who host parties. Make sure you have people checking on all aspects of the party. Usually theres one group a year who thinks its a good idea to show up to our party and smoke weed on the balcony. They're quickly caught and kicked out, but its annoying that someone would think that its okay to just show up to a party and smoke an illegal drug.

Then some of them have the audacity to ask if they can stay after that. Its like no bro, you just came into our room and tried to ruin the party for everyone. Like I get that some people think weed is no big deal, but like it or not, its still illegal. Had you the courtesy to ask is it cool if we smoke weed in here, I'd have said no, but I'd probably have let you stay.

Darn. I didn't know that it was like that. We usually just drink my friends and I. I agree with you since you can get in major trouble for that. It may not be a big deal to some but at least just have common sense and respect.

But seriously, if there's any public parties I'd love to contribute? Last year involved a lot of woeful toting of unopened drinks, chasing party rumors and fun-ghosts. I come to acen to share and meet, not nurse pints in the hotel bar!

I remember and miss those boards! I think they had 'em up until like 03, but eventually had to clamp down due to liability issues.
