We are seeking models to show off the fashions of Sixh, Hangry&Angry, and Angelic Pretty at Anime Central 2012! Get your information and photos ready and then fill out the model application form. It is a single application where you will specify your designer preference for which to model.

Sixh is seeking both male and female models. Hangry&Angry will be seeking females only. Angelic Pretty will also only be seeking (petite) female models with the additional restrictions of being no taller than 5'5" and a shoe size no larger than 8 US women.

Hello, I would be interested in applying for the yet unannounced lolita brand as I fit the additional qualifications. Would the brand prefer seeing photos of the applicant in lolita or other clothing? For the headshot is little to no make-up preferred? This sounds like it would be so much fun!

For the photos, keep makeup fairly neutral and don't overdress for the body shot. They'd like to get an idea of your proportions, so don't cover up too much.

By lolita brand I mean I don't have a signed contract, so I can't say for sure if they will be at ACen.

Feel free to be creative with the attire, though. I was just giving the general idea that if you're too dolled up, it might be difficult to determine what outfits would work well with your body style. I'd say either flats or heels would be fine.

If the lolita brand is only size 8 and under, do you have any limits from Sixh or Hangry & Angry?

I'm of average Japanese height (about 4'11-5'0" early in the day, 4'10" later at night), but nature has conspired to give me a Sir Mix-A-Lot approved rump and very "anime" chest (I got the genepool roulette lol). Some brands I can wear a 12 in pants, others vary depending on the cut (curses on female clothes not being regulated like men's clothing is!); at the same time, I have a pair of vintage flares in an 11 that are roomy (so tl;dr no clue what that puts me as). My bust, however, is roughly the same number as my hips (>.>), with american Large tops snug but not tight (so perhaps looser tops might be a good call w). Offhand I do not know my measurements, but could obtain them (in cm) easily enough with the help of my sister. Shapewise, I'm more of an hourglass than model/Japanese (though I am working on slimming down, & lost 16lbs last month!)

Would those above things be a big problem, or automatic disqualifiers? *fingers crossed*

As I do not make the decisions on who is picked to model, I can't really say what size or shape will or won't work or if there are any automatic disqualifiers (for Sixh or H&A). All I can say is submit an application and see what happens.

I hope to have the application up by the end of this weekend, but that will depend on if I get the help I need to get it done. The Sixh and H&A brands (both under the h.NAOTO label) have requested to only keep the application open for 2 weeks. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that. I'm thinking the lolita application will have to stay open longer to account for restrictions.

Sorry to be a bother, but do you have an idea when decisions on models will be made? Of course, I understand the process must take many hours and that applications must be open for a while longer.

It was supposed to be 2 weeks from posting time, so the deadline's in about a week and a half, or in roughly 2 Saturdays' time (this coming weekend's Saturday being one of them). As I recall ,the lolita one was delayed, so the application period there might be a little longer (maybe a couple days?).

Decisions are probably going to be made by the designers (it 'd make the most sense, as it's their shows & wear/stuff being put on), so most likely whenever they pick them. Announcements will probably take at least a week, unless they're very quick on deciding; I know for my own art school stuff some things just take a lot of time in deciding and debating this vs that vs blahblah, so I'd imagine picking a living display for your art creation/design would go the same way. TL;DR - whenever the designers or deciders decide, basically? *shrug* ^^;

Number of applications is probably only one, as the first post states it's a "single application". Could be wrong, though I'll just be corrected if I am (for the moment, better safe than sorry I'd say). If you're not given or chosen for your preferred brand/show, I'd imagine you'd still be in consideration for the others as long as you meet what they're looking for. Until there's an official reply, I'd say to just fill out one for now, though.

I want to make sure my pictures for my modeling application went through, who should I contact about that?

There was an email address on the thank you page after submitting the form to send inquiries. That email address is models [AT] 2one.org (obviously use @ instead). It's my personal domain, so please don't think something is fishy about it - it's just much easier for me to manage it on my own hosting space rather than going through ACen's IT.

As for when models will be notified? Model applications will be closed no later than April 2 (but may be sooner if we receive a large number of applicants). I'd like to have each brand choose their models and send out notifications by April 9 (one week after close). That's only 2 1/2 weeks before con. There will be required meet ups at the convention before the shows, and on the Thursday before con as well. Please be aware that you will need to be at con on Thursday to be a model. The specific information will be sent out with the email notifications of being chosen.

Do you mean if the show'll provide you an outfit to wear, or you provide your own outfit to be used in the show? I'm a little confused ^^;. Good to know either way, as I too have weight I'm working on destroying, and I'm sure tons of others here reading this are in the same boat thinking the same thing!
