Hey everyone I'm looking to see if anyone wants to get in on splitting a power drop in the same section that my table is in. Myself and my table partner are table 149, so our section includes tables:

142 - Do Bats Eat Cats>
143 - Kurt Einhaus
144 - Anime Artist
145 - Artbymike
146 - Gum-Gum Pins
147 - Happy Hatpire Designs
148 - Agepoyo!
150 - Tirrivee Creations
151, 152 - Designs by Miyu
153, 154 - Vision Velocity
155 - Chupacabra Bait Studioa

If you are any of these tables and would like to split costs for a power drop that would be fantastic, the more interest we can get the less it will be for everyone! And I know that it would benefit me greatly to have access to one that weekend. Thanks so much!

I'll talk to my tablemate tonight regarding having power at our table. I wouldn't use it beyond keeping my cellphone charged, but he might want to use it to make more of what he plans on selling. I can say for sure though that we wouldn't be able to unless a lot of people are willing to share due to how expensive it is this year ($190 if I'm reading the RES packet right?).

Yeah it is $190 this year. I know I'd like to use it to charge my cell phone just in case and to honestly have my sewing machine with me. I am a crafter but I take hat commissions and if I could work on them or just additional hats while at the table that would be great. Because I was bored out of my mind at Katsucon with nothing to do. XD

ArtbyMike here! id love to help with the cost of a power drop. I actually need power for my printer and computer but wasnt sure if I could aford the $190 price tag and would love to share.

Awesome! Well as of right now, we have 5 interested and if we split cost by person it'd be $38 per person for the weekend, by table it's still expensive. I'm going to see if I can contact anyone else in the area that would be interested in splitting the drop.

Hi, I'm from Vision Velocity (tables 153 & 154).

I'd be interested in helping out for the power drop. Other than probably using it to charge my phone or something, I'm still deciding whether to bring my laptop or not (though I think it will probably be a good idea in case I need references for commissions, since I don't have a smartphone/decent phone that can browse online). Think some of my tablemates would probably be interested as well, so I'll let them know.

If you guys are going to have a lot of people on one power drop I would highly recommend every table involved in this to bring their own extension cord and power strips just to be sure everyone gets the power they need! Be prepared everyone! n__n

Unfortunately if we're not able to get at least a few more folks, I don't think we'd be able to do the power drop. $76 (for the two of us) for our montly budget is a bit steep for something we'd be using as a convinience. But don't count us out yet! If more people are interested and the price drops further, we'd be more likely to go in on it.

Awesome! Let us know as soon as you hear back from your tablemates so we can continue to figure out costs. Which speaking of which, is everyone ok if we split it per person, especially if we can get it down to a reasonable amount? And when I mean per person, that's if youre splitting a table with another artist. Or would you guys rather do it by table?

I've got two power strips that I can bring with, which should help cover some of it.

Do you have an amount you'd be able to do to split the power drop? So we know how many people to aim for?

I think per person would definitely help cheapen the cost (in case you don't get all tables/studios), but I guess it depends on who can be able to chip in as well.

Anyway, I talked to my other tablemates, so far only I and probably another person can be able to chip in. The other 2 probably can't be able to, since they're really low on money & can only afford for their own stuff & traveling to ACEN.

And I'm willing to bring an extra power strip & extensions as well.

Well if we add the two for your table into the mix that makes seven total interested in the power drop, which would place it around $27 a person.

I suppose it's fine. I plan on pitching in anyway 'cuz I do need that power drop. But guess we'll see if you can manage to contact the other tables/studios.

After talking it over a little more and weighing the choice, we're going to have to skip the power drop this year. It's just too pricey (even split between everyone) to justify using it when we'd really be using it solely as a luxury and not a necessity. Sorry to disappoint.

So Its getting pretty close to con time here, just one month left. And I was wondering how we where gunna do this. Should we send all our money to one person who buys the drop, or is someone gunna buy the power now and we pay them when the con starts? Just wondering....

Well Sapphy dropped out so that brings it up to $38 per person, which I'm still ok with. I've made an attempt to contact any other artists I could locate via the net about getting in on the drop. I was going to give them a week to reply and then we could move from there. I can very easily take care of paying for our drop if need be unless someone else would like the money sent to them to pay for it.

Well I haven't heard anything from the girl that said she was interested. ACEN is getting really close everyone. Do you guys want to exchange information so that we can take care of the power drop? I have two for my table, one at ArtbyMike and two at Emoon18's tables correct? It makes it $38 per person if everyone is ok with that.

I'm still in, my tablemate can't though because the price will be going up. If Emoon is still in with her tablemate included it's now $68 per person because we missed the discount. I'm guessing we can pay at con that is if you guys are still ok with splitting even with the price hike.
