i was a little intimidated only cause i was socially akward and going through a rough social patch that year XD lol but yes it can be fun! my first year was only one day but my second year when i was more prepared and going all weekend with friends it was really great. like you we didnt have a room but uh... we stayed at the con and hotel the whole time XD.

5 or 6 years for me. I lost count! I've only ever really interacted with people I already knew or went with though because I'm shy.

That's very uncanny. I couldn't go and not make new friends. I hit it off with someone once and they were like "well we can't hang out, because I'm hanging out with my friends" and I'm like, "Well maybe I could hang out with you guys a bit?" and it was like "shunnnn....". Some people are just totally anti-social.

Those people just don't get the point of these events then...we can play video games and read manga with the social group you have any time..you can only do it with all this large base of midwest geeks/nerds (and those from other parts of this nation and the world) at these conventions...what a shame...
