Good day, everypony! My very very very first post!

Er, everyone, rather. My name is Brandy! I currently reside in the boondocks of Indiana, where we have literally nothing but corn and grocery stores. I turned 21 exactly 2 weeks ago, which is pretty exciting.

This year will be my very first ACEN! I'm super excited. I'll also be at the Crystal Ball! Woo!

Anyway, I'll be cosplaying as Pinkie Pie and Amy Pond this year, but I'm not sure which days. =]

I'm super friendly and love to bake, read, run around with my derpy dog, play Portal, Pokemon, the Legend of Zelda games, and I guess I'm a pretty big fan of Saiyuki. Also, Death Note.

So yeah, new to the boards, blah blah blah, let's be friends and meet up at the con. Yay!

So, a little about me:

I collect rubber ducks.

I love to sew, knit, paint, draw, and generally just make stuff.

I have a poetry manuscript I'm working on, too. Wish me luck with that.

I'm taking wayyy too many English classes right now, so my life is dedicated to hours of reading every day. That would be fine, except there comes a point where my eyes feel like they are bleeding and that just needs to stop.

Oh yeah, I'm a teacher! I love my high school students. I can't wait until I have them full time.

I volunteer with my local Humane Society, which explains why I have so many animals...

I'm in the process of making my gown for the Ball. Super pumped. =D

I love the Decemberists, the Cure, and AFI.

I'm not entirely sure any of this is relevant.

It's a small town called Mulberry, which is 10 miles east of Lafayette

I know where that's at. =D I'm a bit north of you, in Mishawaka. The entire town is less than 6 square miles.

lol. I've been to Mishawaka a few times. You're right about it being a smallish city. I seem to remember the roads kinda suck

Welcome! :) we will definitely get along. I love Saiyuki and The Cure, I collect penguins, and I love my animals. I just adopted a kitten about 6 months ago. It was a while ago but it seems like yesterday that we brought him home. Nice to meet you! I went to school to originally be an English teacher so kudos on that! I switched over to culinary school after I got my associates.
