Nostalgic Cosplay 2012 Photoshoot

Are you dressing up as a character from your childhood? Do you intend to Cosplay as a character from old cartoons or TV shows before the mid 2000s? Well we have the Photo shoot for you. Join us for the Nostalgic cosplay gathering.

Who were looking for: Cosplayers dressing as Characters from the 70s, 80s 90s and very early 2000s. They can be from TV shows or Cartoons, even older anime that was on at that time.

Why we’re looking for them: Because we love to see cosplayers having fun with these characters.

When the Shoot will happen: Saturday April 28th, in the Garden at 12:00pm to 12:30pm. I hope to see more people there. Due to the Weather change the Location will either be at the Traffic Circle where the fountians are or inside the convention center. I'll wait by the garden to see how many people will show up and we can either decide now or then where to go to take pictures. The time has not changed.

I'm hoping for others. Last year I saw a Shreder and thought. Man I wish there was a way I could get more people to come. This year I'm handing out cards with the time and location on them.

Why did this shoot have to be at the same time as Final Fantasy? ;-; I wish I'd seen it sooner. I did Daria for Halloween last year and I figured I'd bring it for an easy Sunday cosplay. I never expected there to be a shoot I could wear it to.

Apparently my thread likes to hide due to shy factor of it. I'm thinking of making some cards out to give to cosplayers on friday for the shoot. Do you think that might work.

Shadowhawk: got the same issue with Batman and Pokemon. They're one right after the other and I don't know if I can make it to both. T_T

I'll be there again this year, as Mary Poppins this time!

Hopefully there will be more people. Do you know if they're putting a photoshoot schedule in the actual program book this year? That would probably help people find out about it.

Does Inuyasha count? I think you might be looking more for costumes from like Scooby Doo, X/1999, DBZ, or Yu Yu Hakusho. Ooh Beetlejuice would be cool :3 or Freakazoid, Powerpuff Girls, and all that Hannah Barbara stuff!

I'm hoping to get all sorts of anything that is 90s or older. I'm considering letting anime in there as long as it's not before a set time period, which I have to figure out soon.

In '10 I saw a group of 'contestants' from Legends of the Hidden Temple. That made my day.

My friend and I will be walkin around as Lopmon and Terriermon from Digimon :3 And I'll be around as TK that weekend as well ^ ^

I'm open to older anime that was shown on Toonami and Fox, and WB etc, as long as it aired in before 2009ish and can be seen as something that was aired on a Saturday morning show, or afternoon show, or before CN started to air "Live action" shows. Game shows are welcome too as long as they're in the 80s 90s early 2000s.

If anyone came for this shoot I just wanted to say I am hugely sorry. I wound up throwing up Friday night and slept in most of Saturday morning, my photographer went to the location for a half hour to see if anyone showed up and unfortunately he said no one was there. I am hugely sorry if anyone was disappointed and I hope to make it up next year if a photo shoot does happen.

I believe there were four of us total there. Ed, Edd, a Ghostbuster, and Bill Nye. But, yeah, no one really took pictures. We stood around awkwardly and slowly parted ways >.>

I'm going to have to make it up next year. I will have a new photographer and I intend to get at least someone to help me run this if I'm not here.

How can I make this up to all of you that attended? Seriously I feel terrible about not being there. What can I do for next year that will make it up for this horrible mess?
