Any word on when we'll see a schedule of when they're performing and having signings?
It'd be nice to know so I can inform my photoshoots if I can't come or not with enough time for them to get new leaders ;A;

Schedules are tentative right now, but the concert will be Friday night, in all likelihood. They're only contracted for one autograph session, and that should be on Saturday, but I have no idea what time right now. Once we start getting more contracts back, the schedule will come together and we'll be able to post more definite times. Sorry for the inconvenience.

--EDIT--

And thanks for the Gachi Ranger avatar. Hitoha's the best!

Not at all! I'm sorry for sounding as if I'm rushing to know the schedules XD I just don't want to finish a costume I may end up not bringing.

I just had to make it since I felt like Hitoha when I found out LM.C was coming. "/practices/ (ಠ益ಠ) I-I'm rooting for you"

this is beyond exciting but i need more info @_@

will we have to get "tickets" for the concert like in the past?
are they only playing one show and on friday?
are bags allowed inside this time? even if i just bring a purse small enough for my keys and wallet? sometimes it seems like they are and sometimes it seems like they aren't...
cameras ok? yes/no? i'd hate to wait in line just to be turned away at the door.
will groucho merch be sold or any merch at all? will it be outside the concert or elsewhere?
will the autograph session happen in the dealers room? will they have a table in the dealers room?

is it too early to ask these questions lol?

I have some of these answers:

-You do not have to get tickets, but that means that there will a crazy line for the concert.
-Yes, only one show, and it's on Friday. To make it even more complicated and crowded for everyone, Eyeshine will be playing before LM.C goes on, and there will only be one seating for the two concerts. There will be a brief intermission between the concerts, but I do not know how Main Programming/IRT wants to handle readmissions to the concert.
-I do not know what the bag policy is. I will have to defer to Main Programming and IRT again on that.
-I will ask about photography and get back to you.
-I'm not sure about merch sales outside the concert, but...
-They have a table in the dealers room and I'm sure there will be merch available there. All autograph sessions will be in the area in the back of the dealers room. Getting in there is a pain and it's not well-marked. We are trying to come up with a better way to utilize that area and increase signage to the signing rooms.

No, Eyeshine will have 2 concerts. Their second set will likely be acoustic/unplugged.

One Eyeshine concert is on Friday (discussed above), the other is as yet unscheduled (either Saturday or Sunday). We're trying to determine the best time and location for the second set.

When will we find out the times for the concerts and main programming events? I know it doesn't show all the full details on the panel schedule for obvious reasons, but I was wondering when the schedule for concerts and guest events will be finalized. :) And is the International Room now the name of the Main room where all the main programming is now? (Like LM.C, Eyeshine, etc?) Because I swear last year it was called the grand ballroom. Just double checking.

thank you for answering some of my questions.

so if i want to see LM.C i should probably get in line early to see eyeshine then hopefully IRT can handle the re-admission without causing a stampede like they have in the past. they're using ropes this time right? can't they just have 2 separate admission lines? or just not have an intermission? normally real concert venues don't make you go wait outside in between bands. i just feel like there is an easy way to do this without causing overcrowding, mass confusion or aggravation. OH and is there a rule that you can't line up more than an hour before or something? i haven't really gone to acen in a while but i remember people complaining about something like that.

is there someone i can ask about the bag policy for this concert and how they're handling the admission situation? i'm really anxious about the event and i just want to be fully prepared.

When I said that there will be an intermission, I meant that the room will not be reseated while the stage is reset for LM.C. There will only be one seating for the two concerts.

The International Ballroom is the big room at the end of the hall in the Basement. That room will be used for other events this year. Main Programming is still in the Grand Ballroom - same place as always, same name.

Maybe it's my sleep deprived self not processing this info correctly but..
In order to really get a good spot for LM.C we'd have to see Eyeshield first? :/ Has it been this way in the past....?

I feel like I am repeating what has already been asked but the whole "reseating" thing is confusing me since I haven't been to an acen concert in forever.

Also the Q&A that was mentioned in the first post, is that still going on in a panel room?

In the past, there have been openers for acts that were like this. However, one cannot consider Eyeshine an opening act, really. Do you think the concerts should be seated separately? We could clear out the room after Eyeshine, but anyone who saw Eyeshine and wanted to see LM.C would have to go to the back of the line at that point. What do you think is best to do?

And yes, the LM.C Q&A will be in a panel room. The biggest one we have. It is as yet unscheduled.

i asked this question originally because the exact thing happened for the pillows when they played. i guess the first band was really the opening act but after they were finished we were all told to exit the ballroom for a sound check(i think that was the reason, i don't really remember). there weren't ropes set up outside the ballroom and when they opened the doors for the pillows there was a massive stampede as everyone ran back into the ballroom. i was afraid the same thing could happen again and when you said "readmission" it made me think that it was.

thank you for being so patient with all of the questioning :)

Hmmm...this is an excellent question. Personally I'm most interested in seeing Eyeshine, and probably wouldn't stay for the LMC. I think more people will be able to enjoy at least one of the concerts if there are separate seatings, because there will be some people who don't want to do both. If as many people are coming to see LMC as the forums indicate, I can see pure pandemonium resulting from people waiting in line not making it in because capacity is reached for Eyeshine. Btw, what is the capacity for these concerts? And will there be tickets? Perhaps if separate tickets are given out for each concert up to the room capacity it will cut down on the people bumrushing the line because they are worried they won't get a seat. Some people will still be going crazy to get a GOOD seat, but the rest of us will wait our turn to get in so long as we are sure we won't be turned away. My two cents for what they're worth...
Love and Peace!

Vika!

What time can we start to line up for the show?I know I've been to some con where you could only line up like 30 min. before the concert...so i am wondering if its going to be like that or can I get there at a the before the sun rises to get in line? Just wondering.... ^^v

HuiYa: Line policies are not up to me. That is more of a question for Main Programming or IRT. I'm sure it's probably answered somewhere on the main site.

Regarding the concert seating, there will not be any tickets issued. Apparently that has been attempted in the past with poor results, and the powers that be are not ready to attempt it again.

As it is, our Main Programming room can only accommodate approximately 10% of our total con attendance. In my opinion, that is not remotely large enough. As long as we hold large events in that room, we will always have to turn people away -- which is why I asked earlier this con year about holding events at other venues. It didn't happen this year, but will probably have to happen soon.

At this point I'm thinking we should seat the two concerts separately. I will talk to Main Programming and IRT about how to manage letting out one concert and lining up for the next, and what to do about people who want to see both. Hopefully there is a fair solution.
