I'm making a mask out of burlap, and to both help hold the pieces together from fraying (and so make it more comfortable to wear) I am thinking of lining the inside with liquid rubber (contains ammonia). I've tried contacting the manufacturer but have not gotten a response yet, and I'm wondering if anyone else has done this, and if it is safe. I know I'm not really going tomess with wearing it until it has had a long time to dry, but I'm stil a tad unsure.

I've done something similar with my life casting supplies - safest and best fitting way, but it can be pricey
