I didn't even know this was going on until my friends mentioned it to me on Sunday. I'm definitely going to attempt to go. It's nice to see a local anime convention happen in this suppressed town.

Needs moar people that can admit that they're actually from Rockford, no matter how crappy of a city it is. Also, hope for more future cons that are exclusive for the area. It'll save on gas and other expenses, for sure!

I just found out about this, and may consider it. I live about 1 hour and 45 minutes away, but I have a friend who lives about 50 minutes away from it. If I'm able to stay at his place, I may check it out. Sounds interesting!

My boyfriend has one of the promotion cards for this in his wallet and keeps talking about wanting to go, so perhaps we'll go for one of the days the con's going on. It'd be awesome to go to a con before Christmas, and especially since I work in retail (the horror!) I could use the one-day break from reality. XD

I really should try to go to this one, since I'll be on break and only be 10 minutes away from it then. It's close, cheap, and I really have no excuse not to try it out.

So I pre-registered, do I just bring the confirmation email to get my badge or whatever we get there? Got my room booked also but at the Hilton Garden (it was cheaper and the rooms are nicer). Maybe I'll even have my cactuar cosplay done by then. :thumbup:

I assume that you just bring an ID and confirmation email to the convention. I'm not 100% on that, but that's how it worked for my last couple of conventions.

If anyone is interested, my belegarth (foam fighting) realm, Khador, is doing a couple of fighting demos and a few panels (i think 3) at the con. Not sure when they are yet, as i have to get more information from the leader of the realm, but if anyone is interested i can post the info for it as soon as i find out.

So, i have a little more info on the things my realm is doing at the Con: We are confirmed for TWO fighting demos. We have Saturday from 1 - 3 PM and Sunday from 11 AM - 1 PM. We are CONFIRMED for Garb, Chainmail and Fighting 101 panels, but those days/times aren't 100% set in stone. Will let you guys know when those are (when i find out), if anyone is interested.

FRIDAY
