I will. Not that IHOP will listen. I remember we did and they still didn't have a lot of servers there that night. I'll give them a call about 3 weeks in advance to let them know so they can schedule correctly

Well I wouldn't know about 2011 as I did not attend but in 2010 those organizing it said they contacted IHOP and IHOP didn't take it seriously as they didn't prepare. But that is neither here nor now, IHOP will be contacted before this year's meet and greet to give them proper warning

I'll see if I can make it and hopefully this time I'll come right on time. I'll maybe make it to the Ihop portion too but I may need a ride.... No scratch that I'll definitely need a ride ;w;
Ihop will be the perfect place for my Mitsuba cosplay.

As usual I won't be attending the Ihop portion.

I missed this last year, and I would like to attend this year at least for the meeting portion, but it will depend on what my friends are all going to be up to that evening.

I probably won't attend the Ihop portion since I probably would have had dinner beforehand, but that will depend on what everyone is going to do and how tired I'll be, and if you guys are in desperate need of transportation. How late does the Ihop portion usually go until? I ask since I'm going to be arriving in Chicago after having driven 7 hours from Minneapolis that Thursday...

I think my uncle did something like that once: drive 7 hours to Chicago, have a bite to eat, and then drive back. Do I want to? Right, and gas and time are cheap. Even less so with a con in town.

I'll see what I can do and how I feel that evening. 2 hours should be all right if I don't wear myself out that afternoon- just don't want to drive people there and then have to tell them they have to find their own way back...

Denny's here isn't as bad as Ihop here in MN- my family and friends still can tolerate Denny's but mention Ihop and they're like, "No thanks." Except for when some family came over from New York and insisted on going despite us telling them it's not very good. At least Denny's doesn't withhold nutritional info...

Only Waffle House I ever went to was in Columbus during a con weekend. It was located right next door to a strip club. Sadly, it is closed down now, but to those of us who went, it will forever be known as Strip Waffle House.

I go to Denny's all the time. Free wifi after all

My friends and I have the Denny's by my house trained - we walk in & they seat us in the one large booth that has an electrical plug, and they know we'll be there for four hours discussing Relay for Life stuff.

As for the meet & greet - I'll try and stop in for a bit, depends on how busy things are in my department. Probably won't go out to IHOP, I go there enough anyway

and I won't have the energy most likely.

To be honest, I didn't know such a place existed until now. And I live up here! When I think of pancakes, the first place that comes to mind is... Perkins.

And I think this conversation has started to tilt my decision towards the "yes" column of whether to attend the Ihop portion...
