So its that time of year again to figure out the plans for the forum Meet and Greet.

The Meet and Greet will meet in its typical location on the first floor of the Hyatt Thursday evening at 8pm. We will meet in the back area that typically has numerous tables/chairs setup where the spoony bards (or whatever they are calling themselves these days) typically play. Its basically right under the big glass staircase, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find. If that still doesn't help enough, its near the stairs that also take you downstairs to the basement level.

So what is the forum meet and greet?

Its an event run every year that gives everyone on the forums an opportunity to meet one another, hang out, and talk for a bit. This is an all ages event that everyone, even first year attendees to the con can feel welcome at.

Typically this also involves a going out to eat portion as well, but being that I never attend that second part, someone else is free to coordinate it. I only ask that you give at least 90 minutes for the actual meetup.

Any other questions, feel free to ask. Hope to see you all there.

And yes, I am coming to ACen this year. There was some initial doubt, but turns out I can't stay away.

Depending on what night I actually get in or what time. My roommate here likes to run late and I hate it TwT. So if I can make it in time I will be there if not I will probably travel to visit Felf when I do get there. :rolleyes:

I shouldn't have any trouble getting to the Hyatt meetup around 8 PM on Thursday. After then, I will probably go to the restaurant meetup. (In 2011, it was IHOP at the edge of Rosemont.)

I would try to take lead of the IHOP stuffs, but for someone like me, my presence wasn't commanding enough. I almost want to try again to make up for that last year. lol

If you read the original post and/or Norm's reply to your question before, you would see that it starts at 8pm. Usually it's 8pm and then we go to IHOP around 9 or so.

Well I feel foolish then. Alright then, since he asked that the IHOP excursion take place about 90 mins after the meet and greet gets started. We'll be planning on being at IHOP at 9:30

I'd really like to come but I'm not yet sure whether I could get a ride. My group may not want to go, so I'll have to ask them about it closer to the date. I definitely wouldn't mind a beer and then breakfast for dinner! :thumbup:

people usually post that here. Also there usually is a poll for the place, but it,turned into just IHOP. Also if you wanna lead, you should give IHOP a courtesy call and alert them that they will get a large volume of people that Thursday.
