There's this Mexican restaurant near the convention. I forget the name but it's right next to a liquor store. I'll try to find out but I just realized my team and I have been going there 3 years straight at some point during convention weekend. They have the BIGGEST house burrito that is amazingly good.

Salitre Mexican restaurant and yes they are good. It's almost a guarantee that we're going there again.

Oh, yeah. It's also a tradition for me to eat copious amounts of breakfast sausage at the Denny's down the street.I mean, it happens every year. That's what a tradition is, right?

We would walk to McDonald's pretend we were in a invisible car, get food.. ( however I heard they won't serve people not in. Car this year at the drive through ) , and then walk to the gas station for energy drinks on Thursday night..

I think I've gathered up a few traditions for ACEN since i started going a few years back, not that I ever thought about it seriously until now.

*Attend on Thursday (new one) for Meet n' Greets
*Cosplay Current Obsession
*Lunch at Denny's on Saturday (totally gonna replace with Steak n' Shake this year)
*Plan Ahead of Time for Everything (end up changing half my plans to suit the weekend)
*Mess Around on the DDR Arcades

2013 Cosplay Plans (Skipping 2012)
Michonne (The Walking Dead) -Friday; Rakshata (Code Geass) - Saturday

Watching: Nurse Jackie; Playing: Sims 3: Showtime (PC), Mass Effect 3 (PS3), Saints Row 3 (PS3); Reading: The Walking Dead

This will be only my second Acen, but I intend to do two things I also did last time:

1 - One Monster Import
2 - Breakfast at Denny's
Decided not to bring a signature book due to lack of interest.

Make sure you are in cosplay and look exceedingly tired and fall asleep in the booth a few times.Part of the experience.

I have several things I do every year before ACEN.

Library run: I have a 8 - 9 hour train ride ahead of me, so I make a trip to the local library for some reading material. I usually get some manga, a Lovecraft book, and a computer book. I'll be making the run Wednesday.

Wal-mart run: Hit the local Wal-mart for some snacks to eat while on the train. Also get batteries for the CD player. Must get pocky!!!

Cleaning spree: Do not want to leave the apartment a mess. Usually done the Wednesday before ACEN.

Lunch: I usually get lunch at the McDonald's at Union Station.

It's on Touhy and Mannheim -- about 2.5 miles north of the convention area.

Every year on sunday, after most everyone else Is gone, I walk around the hotel and reflect upon my experiences that year.

I have several:
1) Go to Mitsuwa, H-mart or Sea Ranch before the con, to stock up on snacks/sushi

2) Saturday night pizza party

3) Bunnypalooza

4) Plan to go to a bunch of panels and things but only make it to a few at most

5) Wait until it's really late to get in line for the Sat. night dance and then when I finally get in, leave after like 20 minutes (ok it's not on purpose, but I end up doing this every year)

6) Wander around the dealer's room for hours and then end up only buying 1-2 small things

7) Visit with people I know who run a table in AA (and talk about how we should meet up sometimes during the rest of the year since we live close together, then inadvertently never actually do it! Another one that's not on purpose but seems to happen every year...someday we will actually meet up!)
