My bf and I are planning to go to Acen this year, but we have no ride. Is there anyone who lives around the Racine county area in Wisconsin? If so just leave me a message or something. The thing is we will be also staying at a friend's place that's 15 minutes away from the con. I will also be willing to pay for the gas money to and from the friend's place. We want to go Thurday and leave Sunday afternoon.

Have you considered taking the Metra train from Kenosha? It goes straight to Chicago, then you can jump on the Green line (at Clinton) to Clark station (it's only one stop away) and jump on the Blue line to Rosemont. It's an easy, cheap way to get to the convention at least. I'm not sure how you'd meet up with your friend, but it would be a way to get down there if you can get a ride to Kenosha.

I might be able to help you out, or get you in touch with someone who can.
I'm in Milwaukee for school, but I'm from Kenosha originally, so my plans were to drive down to Kenosha the night before, hang with my friends overnight, then take the Metra down first thing in the morning.
Because of ACen taking place right around finals, though, I might have to leave a bit early or whatnot, but I do know some other people in the area who are figuring out transportation around now, and I might be able to hook you up.
I'm not promising anything for sure, but if I have some more details, I'd be able to figure out something, hopefully. I'd hate to see a fellow con-goer get left out in the cold, y'know? It's not the Dollars way.
