In the last half hour I've been getting lots of driver error messages. Id say one out of every three clicks. Mainly when I go to the main forum page but sometimes on other topic pages too.

I'm not familiar with that one - can you maybe give me some more information? What exactly does it say for example?

Umm... I don't remember the wording, but it says something along the lines that refreshing may help or ypu may need to get am admin to fix it. It didn't have any kind of tech message.

Try and screenshot it next time I guess if it comes up for me. Maybe JJ has a better idea of what it is, because I don't. :[

I've gotten them every so often, and usually they go away.

It happens when our webserver loses its connection to the database server for unknown reasons.

We have been doing some work on our server farm that might have caused some issues but nothing recently. Let me know if it happens again and what you were doing/trying to do and we can make a more definitive conclusion to where the problem might lie.

I got one of these just now. When I refreshed, it went away (and back to normal).

More importantly, what were you attempting to do, view the topic, reply to the topic? start a topic? This is most important as it allows me to have a starting point of where to look for the issue.

I was attempting to view the Cosplay forum and I was coming from the forum index. It didn't hang or anything, just immediately went to the screen I posted above.

I may or may not have had multiple tabs of the forums open at the same time. I don't remember though.

fyi, I got a couple more of these.

Last night, I was just going to the forum index (a direct request; I clicked a bookmark in my browser) and the error came up right away.

This morning, I was trying to post to this topic and on Preview is when there was a delay (like nothing was happening) and THEN the error came up.

I was adding a reply in one of the Insanity topics when I hit the Post button I got the error message while I was on the phone. Which I am using at this time to post this.

Looking around the ACP for something different to try to solve these I got one as well. lolol

I'm waiting for JJ to come back in IRC right now to see if we can try something different.

I'll issue a reboot to the server box. There is nothing I can see in the logs that would explain the behaviour >.<

Nevermind...I think I might have found the issue. Standby for (hopefully) the fix.

Changed something on the servers. Let me know if that did the trick ;3

Looks like that should have solved the issue. We've had a little under 100 page hits per minute on average between my post last night and this one, and the logs show no errors. I wouldn't be surprised if they do appear every so often until we rebuild these servers, but it should be no where near as frequent as they were occuring.
