Me and my best friend have been going to ACEN for 6 years this year. Even if we don't end up going together, we have traditions that we always stick to and do together, like doing neko lolita on Sunday and raving at the Soap Bubble together. ACEN is also were we end up buying each other's birthday gifts. Now as the title might reveal, there is a problem this year. My friend is extremely low on money, and she's worried she might not be able to go this year. Weeeell as her best friend I can't let that happen! So I wanted to know if you amazing ACEN goers would help me out! I'm going to be selling both made items and a few of my own cosplay items to get money to surprise her with a badge and get us a hotel room, which I don't have enough money to get by myself since I have to get my badge and such. All the profit is going to that, and should I get extra money half will go to helping me and and her with other ACEN expenses (food, cosplay, emergency stuff, ect.), and the other half I will donate :3 Of course since you guys will help me you will get to choose what I donate to x3 I only have a few pictures of what I will be selling, some I have yet to take a picture of and will do upon request (marked with this doda: *) and some I don't have pictures of yet because I have yet to get a commission for them (**), so please help me out with not only getting her to ACEN but helping me get some more pictures up of what I can do

well you can alsopost up items at cosplay.com and go to hotwire.com for rooms for 113 for all three night for acen and 120 for max price tickets get them shipped anywaays you can find really cheap cosplay at cosplay.com its funnn GODD LUCK AND POST ON ACEN FACEBOOK PEOPLE WILL HELP IM SUE HOPED I HELP JESUS BLESS YOU IN YOUR TRAILS

You and your friend could always do:

-Gigs on Craigslist. These are odd jobs, from moving to typing up resumes to passing out flyers. You can also post what you can do on there as well.

-Random odd jobs with other relatives, such as washing, watching kids, etc.

-Asking around your area if people need help with odd jobs

-Try to room up with people. If you must need a room on your own you can also try to go with Hotel.com and other spiffy options.

-Surveys also from Craigslist if you are lucky

-If the hotel has it, sign up for their rewards program for free nights

-Borrow some money from folks until then or someone you know.

You guys still have close to two months so it shouldn't be that hard if you pitch in together and try your best. Also good luck!

That's the thing, she has no money to pitch in with, so I'm doing it. And I have a room, it was the problem of paying it off instead of having my mom do so and have debt with her, but thank you for the suggestion with the hotels. Also, I'm 17, there aren't many "odd jobs" I can do that my mom would approve of. : p

Don't let that stop you; I know a 14 year old who has a job better than me >_>;

The flyer gigs I don't think you have to be 18 or older to do so check them out. I know the one I did was tedious but a good 40-60 bucks a while back.
