I bought my wig not too long ago. It's waist long and black. I learned how to wash it correctly, and I even cut the bangs myself.
I wore it a few times, and it gets tangled. I make sure to use a wide toothed comb and not to drag the comb all the way through.
But I would like to know, maybe some products I can put on it to keep it a bit less tangled but still look like flowy hair.
Side notes:
I got the wig from Animestuffstore.
I'm not sure what kind the fibers are, but it says it's heat resistant. - I straightened it a bit but I made sure to use the lowest heat setting.
Helpp?
Also if you suggest a product, posting a link to a site that sells it would be a big help!

I personally use the wig detangler from Amphigory located here. I've been using it on the Sailor Pluto wig I'm currently working on (goes past my butt) and it helps a lot.
If the wig takes well to heat I'd also suggest thinking about using the straightener on it. The way I do it is I start with the very bottom weft, comb it out with a fine toothed comb and then use the straightener on it gradually adding additional wefts and repeating the process. I hope this makes sense it's kind of difficult to describe in text.
One thing to remember though is that no matter how much you do to it, the wig is always going tangle. Natural hair stays untangled, for the most part, because of the oils in it, obviously, wigs don't have that so you just need to be really attentive.

I've had luck using cheapo liquid fabric softener. put it 50/50 in a mister bottle with water and douse the wig in it. Of course, now all my wigs smell powerfully of cheap flower laundry perfume. >_>; When this bottle runs out, I think i'm going to spring for a slightly more expensive UNscented brand. If you don't like powerful cheap flower laundry perfume, you might want to start with the unscented stuff.

Motions Oil Sheen is a widely used and highly accepted kind of detangler that works really well on longer wigs. It has a scent that isn't too bad (smells like strawberries to me), and can really help out in detangling some pretty bad wigs. After you coat the wig with the stuff, you use a wide combed brush and start at the bottom of the wig, slowly making your way to the top. You can't rush the brushing out process still, but the Motions Oil Sheen does make the job a lot more bearable.
If you're interested, you can find this spray pretty much anywhere (Walmart, Target, hair product stores, etc.) for around $10.

I need some ideas with a long wig as well. I have this Erza Scarlet wig and I need to somehow get it pulled up into a high pony tail but it's really heavy and the netting underneath ends up showing if I get it high. Any ideas?
Normally for ponytails it's better to have a short base wig, then have a detachable ponytail.
That being said, try taking it to a local hair cutting/styling place?
They should probably be able to help you, that is if you are unable to figure something else out.
I would probably trim a bottom layer to hide the net, but make it still look like its in the ponytail.
But that probably makes no sense. lol.

You'd need to sew in extra wefts to cover the exposed net. Or, you could buy a pre-ponytailed wig. There are a couple places around that sell them. Most people get a shorter wig, sew in the extra wefts to make it look right, then cut off the tail and make it into a stump. Once the base wig is stumped, you can attach a fall to make it look like a ponytail. that can help with the weight some. here are a couple tutorials i found:
