I have some questions regarding working with a doujinshi artist. Forgive me if these seem like derp questions, lol. It's my first time wanting to make a doujinshi.
First of all, where does one go to find a doujinshi artist who might be willing to work with a writer to create a doujinshi? I figured I'd try looking on Acen forum first, but are there other sites where doujinshi artists frequent where I can post? Like a craigslist for doujinshi artists?
Secondly, I'm a poor college student, so I won't be able to provide the artist with any compensation, besides allowing the artist to sell/publish the work as they see fit. All I ask is to be credited as the writer. Is that a fair trade? If not, what are the usual "business deals" that goes on between a doujinshi writer and doujinshi artist? If you are the artist, what sort of additional benefits/pay would you want?
To the artist reading this who might be interested in applying, here's some basic things about the doujinshi's I'm planning:
-It'll be Skyrim doujinshi
-The stories will be vanilla (ie lovey-dovey)
-I'm looking for artists with similar style to Fumi Ishikawa (artist of Suikoden 2), or those who draws in a style that's in between western- and eastern-styles.
-The stories are largely H, but the artist is free to decide how H they want to draw.
-The artist is free to set his/her own deadline, so long as he/she stays committed.
If there are other tips/tricks/comments regarding how to find a doujinshi artist, how to successfully make a deal with a doujinshi artist, suggestions of artists, please feel free to post them here!
