A good copy of Gunbuster(the first dvd set has horrible subs. I know cause I own it) and a copy of Diebuster (aka Gunbuster 2). And not the movie or whatever they call it. Scrapped Princess, Ceres, Fushigi Yugi, and FMA Brotherhood.

Nooot sure yet aside from commissioning some f!Hawke/Merrill art because my DA2 OTP doesn't get nearly enough love. Prob. gonna jump on any DA2 things I find in the artist alley, really. Probably figures (be it trading figures or scale figures, idk). Probably doujinshi. Those are my staples.

Also Fate/Stay Night and related things. Got into Fate/Zero and Fate/Extra big time.

So I decided to splurge a bit when I was paid this week and I went and got all the remaining K-ON figmas from various sites, including eBay (for Mio). I can't wait to set them all up. I think I'm having an Otaku-gasm. lol

I have:
Tsumugi (got her at a local anime shop... they had ONE in stock!)

I ordered/waiting for status updates for/of:
Yui (from www.hobbyfan.com for under $50 with shipping; the typical con Dealer's Room price)
Ritsu (from www.hlj.com aka HobbyLinkJapan for $50 or so with shipping)
Azusa "Azunyan" (from www.Yagutoro.com for a similar price as the above two) <== what's interesting is that she processed and appeared on my bank statement immediately, whereas the others are either 'pending' or no status is given.
Mio (I found a low priced auction on eBay of which I'm now winning with a $55 bid, all with free shipping. w00t.)

Max Factory also has Yui's sister Ui, Nodoka, etc, but meh not interested in side/secondary characters. I just want Houkagou Tea Time members! xD

...I know all that above technically isn't what I'd wanna get at ACen, but to keep it on topic of that I think I'd get some artwork from their AA like I do at each of the cons I go to each year.

There's no one video, book, or comic which I'm especially looking forward to. I have seen some relative bargains at ACen, but I try to focus on stuff which most retailers don't carry. Some of my con purchases in the last few years have included retro games, doujin shmups, small press board games, and amusing t-shirts. (But this year, I will be mentally comparing them with stuff I've seen on We Love Fine.)

I haven't yet gotten around to importing a copy of the UK version of Inazuma Eleven for DS. It currently costs about 20 British pounds. If I see a copy for US $40 or less at ACen, I will buy it.

I've had absolutely no luck finding a real disc of the first Galaxy Angel game for Windows, or its two follow-ups (Moonlit Lovers and Eternal Lovers). Also, while the PS1 game Bloody Bride Imadoki no Vampire is usually sold cheap on amazon.co.jp, I wouldn't mind paying a few dollars to avoid having to use merchant services to get a real disc.

Overall, while I buy stuff in the dealers room and artist alley, that's just one part of why I attend conventions.

I want a bit of everything! I like to look for new or unusual manga and anime, unique hand-crafted cosplay items, and doujinshi. What I'd really like is a set of cool bento boxes, something not hello kitty. I've been looking for the past two years for a set, maybe this will be my lucky year!

I'd also love to find some more of the CLAMP series I'm still missing or are incomplete, and just overall get some good deals on manga that I normally don't get. Maybe a new plushie, or a deal on a few single DVDs I'm still missing (Angelic Layer and Cardcaptor Sakura, namely).

ACen doesn't supply anything, the vendors do. That said, it depends on the type of doujinshi you're looking for. I think there were two yaoi vendors last year, and I think I saw non-yaoi hentai stuff at more than one vendor. But be aware that the prices tend to be pretty inflated- you'll probably find better deals online.

Surugaya on Rakuten seems to have all of the Galaxy Angel games you're looking for. Unlike most merchants on Rakuten, they will ship overseas so you don't need a shopping service. This is what they have for galaxy angel under computer games. You'll need to use Rakuten's US mirror to actually order, but searching for galaxy angel on there is impossible because the translation feature garbles everything.

As for me, I'm just hoping someone will have Arpakasso plushies. And hopefully not at not too obscene a price. D:

Tiger & Bunny stuff. Honestly I would be the happiest nerd in the world if I could finally track down the Wild Tiger figure. Video game merch that ISN'T Final Fantasy VII/XIII/Dissidia would be awfully nice too, but after looking at so many dealers rooms for years, I'm not sure it exists.

Sorry it took so long for me to notice your reply.

I really wish this were easier. With all my other hobbies, it's difficult to justify spending time and money to track down a specific version of an import game (in this case, ones compatible with Seiha Translations' patches).

It's relatively easy to find some import console games. They show up on auction sites and retail sites all the time. But while J-List, Amiami, and Palet Web occasionally carry import PC games, their selections are limited, and it might be easier to ask them for special orders. Likewise, the people at Hendane don't often talk about what they will bring to a con.

Sifting through auction sites and trying to find the right version of a product takes time. Finding the specific stuff on Amazon Japan is relatively easy, but it might still take some effort to find an import service...
