Alright, so I finally convinced my boyfriend to cosplay one of his top video game characters, K' from the KOF series. The only problem? My BF doesn't want his fav character to be "bogus" looking so here I am asking for some advice. The wig, shoes, and some of the little accessories like the necklace and/or belt but the outfit itself... boggles me.

So, if anyone can give me some places where I can get a great commissioner or a pre-made costume from a website. Nothing "garbage bag" like as my BF puts it :D

P.S: Yes, he's dead set on being as accurate as possible and wishes to stay in the price range of $50 - $125, if that helps.

K' 2, Design on Back
K' 3, Ignore the Boobie Lady XD
K' 4, In All His Glory!

That’ll be tough but I think it can be done on that tight budget. Doing something on commission is going to cost you but you may be able to find someone to do the outfit. The thing is the top and pants have to match, so it can't really be bought. Even simple costumes can run anywhere from $75-$500 or more. Sadly, I've been searching for some cheap ones for a while and it just isn't easy to find a pre-made costume for cheap.

For the accessories the key is to search out sales, thrift stores and start by making them by hand.

The belt reminds me of a seatbelt belt, this picture isn’t exact but its close. I think you could make alterations to it. http://www.etsy.com/...nap-style-wreal

Or you could try a simple belt buckle like this http://www.mensbeltb...a9524f54af6.jpg

The necklace will be a piece of cake. Any craft store will sell a cross like that in the jewelery making section. You may want to think of saving money by doing the detail work yourself and just having someone sew the basic pattern.

You two better join us for the SNK fighters this year! (Don't worry, no one pays attention to Mai anyways.)
I'll just go ahead and paste from the coscom thread I helped out with.

Hi res art:

Some ebay suggestions:

Chaps:

Take your pick on wigs: http://www.ebay.com/...=p3286.c0.m1539

As for the straps and buckles, you can easily add those in from pleather trim from any Joann's/Michaels/Hobby Lobby/whathaveyou... then add the BEAST OF PREY logo on the back with Angelus leather paints.

For the gloves, I've seen people use craft foam via the craftfoam armor tutorials.

And lastly, thanks to the wonderful color customization mode they slipped into XIII.. you don't have to stick to default colors.. you can make him look like the Windows XP logo if you want.

Sorry I haven't replied, but I did go over the details with my boyfriend and my sis who has agreed to help with some of the accessories and whatever props we may need. I would like to thank you both for your suggestions and you can trust that we'll be with the SNK Fighters this year! Look forward to posting my progress with the cosplays!
