mall cosplay anyone? at chicago ridge/ westfield mall

i was on youtube today and there were all these vids about going to random places and cosplaying. i thought, 'hey that looks fun!!'. sadly no one i know wants to go with me cuz apparently it's 'not cool.' so forget them! then i had a brilliant idea and i said to myself, 'hnnn i put up a topic on the acen forums!'. so i'm trying to decide what day and time to do this and i was hoping that the mall could be full of random cosplayers alllll day. so lemme know what everyone thinks and if its a terrible idea.....oh well XD i juz don't want it to be a mooob cuz then the mall cops get maaad. cuz idk thy don't like fun? jk jk ik it's juz cuz they take their job seriously. anywaaaay, i juz thought this would be fun. XD

Update: I was thinking we could do this sometime in may, during summer vacay so not too many people are in school. I'm open anytime in may so everyone tell me a day that's best for you and whichever day has the most will be the day we do it on :)

Lol, I got a similar desire the other day. I was looking at pictures of friends hanging around downtown at night and I wanted to go there and do the same but in cosplay. xD

I got like 3 different costumes i'm working on that would fit rather well for this. Big O's Roger Smith, will look just as if i'm some kind of business man. or Amaimon who would just look like if i bought all my cloths from Hottopic. xD

Just remember that a mall IS a privately owned establishment and if they deem you are being disruptive or too distracting, they have the right to kick you out.

I understand that thnx for letting me know. that's exactly why I don't want it to be a 'mob' so no fighting or yelling an stuff like that would be nice.

Wonderful! Amaimon is so adorable and strange. :) I hope lots of people can go.

OOooOO, this does sound kewl. I can't see any reason they'd kick ya out if ya patroned a place or too while yer there and not being the "disruptive ones". How one dresses shouldn't be the cause for gettin the boot from the joint.

A side note, be ready for stares in some cases, at worst be ready for either being shouted at by the "idiots" that may be there, or getting harrassed.

On the upside, be ready for people to come take pictures and be like "Oh your outfit is awesome, are you promoting something?" Just tell them that you're there for fun and mention Anime Central, you might get people who want to go.

My boyfriend and I cosplayed there once because the fye store was having a cosplay contest.
We were DEFINITELY stared at. :)
Just be aware the security will hound you if you are having any parts of your face covered, have weapons, or are causing a disturbance.

Okie dokie so most likely i'll plan this for friday june 15th. That way pretty much everyone would be out of school by then. And the mall is open later on weekdays. :3 lemme know what everyone thinks!

Alright!! Official date is set! Here's the link to the event on my facebook invite your friends, tell your friends to invite there friends (seriously I mean it. Go and hit attend and invite people X3) it's ALL day on friday june 15th so go whenever you feel like or whenever you can.
