As you all know Christmas is 2 weeks away Yes get to shopping for the last minute gifts and it is the time of year that we all scramble to get the perfect gift for family or friends; however, we have those gifts that we have gotten in the past and you think to your self 'What in the world is this? I don't even like this gift.' What are the worst gifts you have gotten and what are they? Has your family or friends figure out what you like now? Do you buy your own gifts? What would you like to receive this year?



For a few years, my mom did the whole get each other gifts and a family breakfast. One year I got 2 snow globs that play music if you turn the key, it was Peter Pan and Precious Moments, and a pair of slippers. I rejected them right away. The snow globs I said I don't even like this, what am I going to do with 2 snow globs? I looked at my parents and their faces fell. My sister got me the slippers and I said to her these are ugly, they are not the style I was looking for and they don't even fit me. Then I told them I don't want them and took 5 steps into my room and shut the door. My room is next to the door to get out of the house. My mom was mad at me and I told her that she doesn't know what I like and started to cry. After that I got my own gifts for myself.

Worse gifts? Hmmmmm. I can't think of any. Anything I get from my family is usually something I need or something I want. I'm not very picky. As for what I want this year....hmmmm. Money but beyond that a new radio for my car. I'm sick of burning CD's every anime season.

Peace of mind.

Let me elaborate on this; I want peace of mind because in this life I'm surrounded by people who don't think twice about their actions, how they effect others, and the consequences they bring about. There's nothing wrong with having fun, and thinking about yourself first is only natural simply because if you don't you place your survival in question.

But I know most people aren't like that. As a pal of mine says "If it feels good, people just do it without second thought." I'm surrounded by people who don't understand (Or not surrounded as most of my friends are either back in Illinois or in another far away state), an in all honesty that means I have to stand alone a lot.

That's okay though, if you choose not to take moral stands, then we have no business with each other.

I guess in addition to peace of mind I wish there was more understanding in this world. So what I want for Christmas is not only for myself, but for others as well. Physical gifts, while nice, aren't doing it anymore, especially since I already get myself a lot of things during the year that buying for me is practically impossible.

I'm not asking for world peace, that's impossible. I just ask for people to listen this season... and beyond that time. It's a daunting task, but I know it's not impossible.

Worst Gift... an very ugly set of clothes that they thought was cool guess who got rid of them but kept the scarf?

My mom hasnt figured out what I like besides computers and clothes.
But last year got me a PSP but forgot those need games so I had it just sitting around in a box for close to a year.


But this year Im hoping she remembers that I draw and I like computers and to know what a Graphic Design Drawing Pad is.

Last year for Christmas my mother got me an easel with every kind of paint imaginable. Which was basically the most thoughtful gift ever.
And it collapses so I can take it anywhere easily.

All I want for Christmas is... health care. I've already pre-regged and gotten a room for ACen, and these days I'm not sure I'm going to live long enough to see it.

Worst gift: Food. It's the fallback gift when people can't think of anything the other person will like - but my medical issues mean I feel sick every time I eat, so giving me food is like giving me a gift certificate for a punch in the face. Either I don't use it and waste their good intentions, or I make myself use it and wind up in pain and resenting them for putting me in this situation.

All I want for Christmas is a boyfriend. I don't want no clothes (I have too much), perfume, etc; I just want a boyfriend. He has to be nice, funny, sweet, good looking, and most of all, respects and loves me for what I am. That would be nice

There's a guy I have my eye on since this September and I would like to meet him, and hope to see what happens .

And I never got any bad gifts.

Because of the Playstation Vita's release date... I get no presents until February... so I get to watch everyone else get gifts this year =\

Worst Gift I've ever received was a steering wheel cover. It's nice my friend thought of me, but it was something I didn't care for. Oh well, no biggie.

As for what I want this year: Well I'd actually want some good things (non-tangible) happening for next year to be honest. I want to be in top shape to run the Chicago Marathon, I want a job that better utilizes my skills/degree, I want to do a project (be it a comic or YouTube page) that gets me more time to be creative, and just to have a great year overall (be it with socializing, dating, everything overall.)

Now tangible items: Mario Kart 7, Mas Dinero (more money), a new video/photo camera (iPhone is only taking me so far), and gift cards are always nice. Other than that, I'm set in terms of possessions until further notice.

Same here! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. XD

I really don't want much for Christmas at all really. Just to see family and catch up with friends. If I had to choose something it would be keeping my GPA :3.
The only "bad" gift I've ever received was a book from someone I used to know. First of all I already owned the book, so then I had two of them XD and then he left the price tag on it and also wrapped it for me in his car on the way to hang out with me O.o. I laugh about it now, but then I was like O________o. Lol

I've never really gotten a "worst gift". :/ Well besides one time I got a Sarah Palin book. That went right to Goodwill!

For Christmas I just would like some nice winter boots. I adopted a kitten with my boyfriend this year and that's all I really wanted. Oh and maybe some more furniture/decorations for the apt. Craigslist here I come!

I don't get a lot of AWFUL gifts, perse, since most of my family gives me money. I don't really ask for material possessions anymore since the material things I want are either too expensive, unnecessary, I won't use if I got it, I'm too picky to let others buy for me, I already have, etc. And a lot of the stuff I truly want, I can't get as a present and I have to work for myself.

But I have gotten a few things that show my family was WAY off when they bought me material possessions...

1. A belt that was 4 inches too large for me
2. A wallet that couldn't store anything in it
3. A Coach-branded keychain Because honestly, nobody knows and nobody will care if your boring black keychain was made my Coach, Rolls-Royce, or Rubbermaid unless it stood out.
4. A flash drive. With a capacity of 32 MB. Thankfully my aunt who gave me said present took it back and gave me money instead after I explained to her I already had a 512 MB flash drive (this was back in the day)
5. A gift pack that included pajamas which I never wore and cologne. Rule of thumb: Don't give me anything cosmetics-related or jewelry-related because I will NEVER use them.
