About the tickets, two friends of mine are interested in going, while I tend to be busy any con's Friday night (procrastinator if I'm not in the AA, commissions if I am). So while I think it'd be fun, I don't think I'd have time for $25 worth of fun. Would it be possible to borrow a friend's ticket to check it out and give it back to them once I've left? Figured it doesn't hurt to ask!

No, tickets are personalized to each individual owner and are non transferable. This means they cannot be resold, given away, borrowed, etc. Only the person they were purchased for can use them.

Hardcore Synergy is on Friday, Soap Bubble is on Saturday.

Crystal Ball is on Friday, Soap Bubble is on Saturday, you'll be able to attend both if you'd like. And Hardcore Synergy is still going on after the Crystal Ball closes for those who'd like to attend that as well. Keep in mind there is normally a line for Hardcore Synergy and Soap Bubble.

Someone on my FB just reminded me of the fact that whatever musical guest ACEN gets might be playing during the time of the Crystal Ball -- do you think that would happen? I know FLOW played the past year around the time they plan to have the Crystal Ball for this year ;___; I really wouldn't want to have to miss the concert for the dance or vice versa or have that happen to anyone else.

Do to the fact that the guests have not been announced, I can not tell you for sure. What I can tell you is that there will be in and out privileges while attending the dance. Once you are there you are not stuck in the ballroom the whole time you can leave to use the restroom, change, meet up with friends, ect. I have been running a cosplay ball in a series of conventions over the past year. I'm a dance instructor by trade so I usually teach an hour workshop on waltz and then pick most of my music from waltz out of animation with a few non-descript but really GOOD waltzes slipped in and some good hug and sway for those who don't want to work the waltz. I would be interested in running the music and a Lesson if you would be so interested. contact me and I can get you any info you would like. if musically you have a slightly different Idea of what you would like to see I can work with anything. I've tried contacting you guys the last couple of years after the charity ball got canceled but no one ever got back to me so I'm glad to see this starting back up and would love to contribute my Knowledge in this area.

What can we expect musically, what is the goal of the music played? So long question made short, Is this music I can Waltz or Foxtrot or Tango or at the very least Hug and Sway too?

Although we have not finalized all the music with the DJ, I can tell you the direction we are planning on going. We are planning on playing a wide variety of music. Everything from top 40, to slow dances, to Japanese and anime related tunes, and a few things in between. If you have any additional questions you can always email crystalball@acen.org.

I don't know if this was answered or not, so I'm throwing this out there anyway. My friend wishes to attend the ball, she wants to buy her tickets at the door but pay for the ball online. Is there a way to do that, or probably not.

I'm pretty sure you can. I don't think the system requires a purchased badge. You just need your badge and ticket in hand when you're at the ball. I would definitely suggest buying ball tickets online opposed to hoping there are some left at con. Make sure they arrive in time at con to purchase their badge well before the ball so they aren't in line when we start

No, I don't think so, it should be limited 1 per account in the system. You can make them an account and purchase them that way though. We realize some are being given as surprise gifts so I think that should work. Just make sure you have their info correct in their accounts.
