Double rooms all gone, only king available!? o.O

So I just called the Hyatt to book my room for con and they had no double bed rooms available, just single kings. Is it normal for all the double rooms to go so quickly, or is this just part of the 'block' that opened in August?

Double rooms do tend to go first in most convention room blocks unfortunately. You could try asking if they have any rooms with a pull out bed/couch in them, I'm not sure if those are considered doubles.

And yet no update with a web link for reservations? I'm a little disappointed.

Yeah, they do offer a rollaway bed, but they charge an extra $25 a night for it. My friend and I will just have to bunk together in the king lol... but it's better than no room at all for sure. ^_^ Since it's our first Acen I really wanted to stay in the Hyatt so it's all good.

Do like we used to do when we stayed at the Hyatt. Bring an air mattress. Better than sleeping on the floor, or sharing with a bed hog.

I noticed this too, and it kinda sucks cause I like to be right in the action. I dunno if they are going to open up another block for the Hyatt. I just remember them opening up like 2-3 blocks for the Hyatt specifically, but I could be mistaken.
