Let's have a Halloween Meetup!! What better way to get over shyness than by screaming our heads off!!

Date; Saturday October 8th
Time; 6 pm - whenever we feel like leaving [please keep curfews in mind for those that are underage]
Location; Eleventh Hour Haunted House in Elk Grove. 434 East Devon Ave, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. Homepage Link
Note; We will be meeting at 6:00pm and will hang out outside of Eleventh Hour for a short meet and greet session. There are concession stands and places to sit. Please eat dinner beforehand. It will most likely be cold so please dress accordingly.

All these dates look good to me, thought i have yet to get my drilling schedule for October.

I think out those options dinner and a hunted house would be the most interesting. It gives us the chance for a more interaction. I was always a scary cat when I was younger so I never really went into a hunted house, though i been to Six Flags scare fest and that was quite awesome. x3

I might bring my Amaimon outfit if i somehow manage to finish it in time as it just looks like a punk rocker. xD

I think someone was already trying to organize a Halloween meet-up on one of those days. But if they both happen, I'd probably go to this one. XD

Anyways, I'd say I like idea #2 best, but I'd go for #1 too. I'd prefer one of the Friday dates since I don't work on Fridays.

We could always combine 1 and 2. Have a picnic in the afternoon then at night go to a haunted house as a sort of after party. But it'd have a lot of planning involved with carpooling and such. It'd be nice for those that don't want to go to a haunted house. XDD
Just an idea. Since I love the idea of a Halloween picnic and a Haunted House but don't know which to pick DX We have plentyyy of time to plan.

That's the one I was thinking of. Looking at it again, you're right. It's not a Halloween meet-up, it's just in October. I misremembered that part. ^^;

That Asylum place is the next city over from me, so I would go if I'm free I been to Statesville about 5 years back, and it was ok but not great

I would like to consider "The Massacre" because it says it also has a fun house/arcades. xD

I been to Odyssey Fun World once about 6 years ago, and was kind of disappointed. Their arcade was lacking, and when I did laser tag, my gun wasn't working right, and didn't realize it until towards the end

There is no definite location yet since our plans are still up in the air :] If you would like to go to a haunted house please pick the one you like the best or is closest so I can get a general idea of where everyone is.

The only definite location is busse woods near woodfield mall if we end up going for the picnic.

Just so you guys know I'm taking notes on the locations/plans you're picking out. Towards the end of September the plan with the most people interested will be chosen. The date will be decided a bit earlier than that though. Probably by next week. Tell everyone you know who may be interested!!

Ok since many people are interested in the haunted house ideas, I've narrowed it down to 3

Please PLEASE tell me where you would like to go and tell other people so we can make this meetup a success :] Also realize that haunted houses cost about $20 a person.

Also, be sure to tell me whether or not you are more inclined for a picnic+haunted house or a restaurant trip+haunted house. Either way, the haunted house visit will be at night since most open after 6.

Elk Grove is about as far as I'm willing to go but I'll need to know the exact date I need off soon so I can ask for it if from my second job.

The one in Elk Grove Village is also closest to me, but I'd likely need a ride for any of those.

As for picnic vs restaurant, I like the picnic idea, though it also depends on what restaurant it might be.

The Massacre Haunted House sounds cool to me, plus it's supposedly on the top 10 haunted houses in the midwest :/ I do want to try and go to this though. I do want to go to an Acen meetup, but probably can't make it unless it's Saturday after 5:15 or so

I'm sorry if people wanted to go to a different Haunted House but Elk Grove's Eleventh Hour seemed to be the popular choice D:

The reason I opted for a restaurant instead of a picnic is because I don't know how many people to expect and don't want to dish out money for a picnic spot when only 3 or 4 people show up XD Plus it'd be complicated with rides and such. As for restaurants around there... there seems to be a pizza place, subway, etc.

Hello everyone!! Hope you all had an awesome weekend.
But guess what!? It's almost time for our haunted house meetup!!

Instead of having a confusing 'eat dinner then go to the haunted house' meetup, we'll simply meet outside of Eleventh Hour and hang out for a bit. There are concession stands and places to sit. So please eat beforehand. The times are still the same.
Keep in mind, however, that it will be cold [possibly?]!! Dress accordingly!!
