Anime-ZAP! is coming back to Peoria, Illinois in January. As long as it's not snowing heavily (it wasn't last year) you can get there pretty easily from Chicago It's a two-day convention that costs $25 at the door if not pre-registered (or $15 if registered by October, $20 by December 31st).

Note: the old hotel for sleeping rooms, the Pere Marquette, is being closed throughout 2012, so we changed the convention dates and location. It's now one week earlier than before. We want all attendees to be right near the convention place so that they don't have to walk more than a block from their hotel - so we will be holding all events at the Four Points Hotel, and nothing at the Civic Center. January tends to have snow sometimes, XD. The new hotel, the Four Points, is the same hotel as last year, and it is HUGE, so the con will be great.

Ka-chan mentioned us possibly going and maybe even setting up a table at Artist Alley o.o I hadn't heard of this convention until yesterday. Peoria has that awesome mall too doesn't it? I think I could hit that con and go to the mall =D (I plan to have at least one of my new cosplays done by then anyways so maybe I could debut it) It all depends on my work schedule, finances, and people wanting to go and if it's worth it. I'm more focused on getting equipment for Anime Central 2012 and preparing for Ramencon 2012. Cosplays are expensive, not to mention hotel costs, badge costs, food and gas, merchandise and other things in general x__x

Well from where you are at its around an hour-ish maybe a bit more but like I said I LIVE in Peoria so >__> if your cool enough we can have a slumber party at my house instead of hotel stuff? Just gotta get my roommate pumped about it to do it.

A slumber party? Man it's been ages since I've done one of those! That would be awesome. I'd totally do it, it would mean more time to spend with you plus interesting cosplay experiences. Wonder if anyone else we know will go to the con... =o Would it be okay if Ka-chan was with me? (We talked about getting a table together like I said and I usually don't travel alone up to other cities and cons, its nice to have road trip partners XD)

I love that girl too so she can come no matter what. Also I was including her in the first place but can't put it fully down. Gotta harass my roomie about it which shouldnt be a problem more girls in the house woot woot

So I wasn't initially sure about this as I'll be heading back up north to go home for winter break since I'm only here at school. But I met some awesome people yesterday randomly who are local to the Peoria-area and they told me about stuff they're planning for Anime-ZAP! so now I feel like I should totally attend.

Just have to tell my parents about it, but it shouldn't be a big deal as I can just stay in my dorm like one night early anyway.
