Any way to get a text message?

Greetings, all.

I have an older, non smart cellphone. Is there any way to get a text message similiar to email when major events happen? For example, when new room blocks open, or when next tier of registration prices kick in? I would find that EXTREMELY beneficial, as my work and medical situation mean I might not be home to get to my computer for 2-4 days.

We don't have a system yet, but I think it would be a cool idea and that would be cool to have during the con. Like "Q and A with ______ is in an hour in room ______." That would be really cool, I don't have a smart phone either and would find like a text message system would be very beneficial.

if you are subscribed to our twitter, you would get them to your phone as text messages.
