another prop question

I too have a question in reguards to props. I am planning on making a prop that will have on it an ETool. This is one of those three sectioned folding trenching tools used by the military. I wish to know the rules and policies in reguards to this.

Ooooh, this is slightly tricky. Do you know what the ETool you'll be using is made of? I know those are supposed to be lightweight, but there are also different types. The kind you have will determine whether it's okay or not. (Pictures may be handy, too.)

It's the actual ETool. It is metal. I know of the live steel rules which is why I wanted to ask as the tool would be strapped to a prop at all times.

I was hoping it wouldn't be metal...alas, any object crafted from metal with a blade or pointed edge, sharp or blunt, can't be used as a prop, in part or in its entirety. And in this case, it certainly is metal with a pointed edge. Even keeping it in the sheath won't fly. ;_; However, if you're able to find or make one that's made of an acceptable material, then that could be doable!

Question if i am using a nerf gun would leaving the orange tip and not having the darts on their be ok? i would of course bring it to be double checked by you all but thought i would ask ahead of time, thanks

As long as you haven't altered the paint job on the nerf gun, that's fine.
