this. I forgot about desert punk lol (beware has lots of perverse humor) I loved it, kinda wished it went on. It does get serious around halfway of show.

Gintama. Just. Gintama. Though with some episodes you'll be crying as much as laughing. But it's probably the funniest anime I've ever seen.
I also second Excel Saga. If you can handle the sheer craziness. Not many can.

Usagi drops is cute and funny, while having drama to it. Under the bridge, Midori days, also Blue Exorsist. I would suggest looking on Cruncy roll and hulu under comedy.
