Hello,

I am trying to post a link in my signature, but I keep getting a rule saying I cannot post URL's in my signature, and the chart at the bottom also states I cannot have a url in it either :/

When you are editing your signature in profile options -- look to the left of what looks like a square photograph there's something that looks like part of a chain with a green + -- click that. Insert the URL to whatever picture you want to post and below for "link text" that will be the clickable text that will take you to the picture you link. Hope that helps =]

See where I clicked the the chain with the green plus sign? Where I wrote cute picture -- in my signature it would appear as "Cute Picture", instead of cute picture, insert "Linlindesu." The area above is where you put the URL (linking us to her page), what you've been trying to post with different coding. It'll show up saying "Linlindesu" and if you click it, it will take you to whatever link you have put in the box.

So do this -- Click Insert Link button, insert this --

Problem solved =] The forums have different ways of coding from other sites, etc to where things will link or display. That's why you kept getting an error. This should work for you.

Thanks, but that doesn't work for my account. See the error I posted above. I'm not using html, but the buttons provided by the acen forum. The error is stating that my account is allowed a max of 0 links in my sig.

This may fix things, or not. When you are in your signature, make sure that there is nothing below or above your signature. So try pressing "delete" at the beginning of your signature, and "delete" at the end of your signature. There may be extra blank lines underneath the words in your signature causing the problem. Since we can only have 8 (last time I checked) even the blank lines in my signature count as lines in that count.

Thanks but no dice. The problem is somehow my account is restricted from having them. At the bottom of editing the signature, it says I can use:
8 lines
0 pictures
0 links

This is something an admin would have to fix. Sadly, it's been almost 6 months since I first posted this and no luck from that end ^^;;;

That's a really odd thing... I think it might be a website glitch or something o.o You haven't posted any bad links or anything, right? I wouldn't think there would be a restriction like that... but you never know. That's so odd. I'm surprised no one came to help you any earlier ;____;

Hi folks,

I believe this a global restriction for all groups based on a few settings I was able to dig up in our forum settings. It appears that all groups are disabled from having images in their signatures.

Why they are disabled, I haven't the slightest clue, unfortunately. There might be a post lurking about somewhere that explains this..
