HELLSING OVA 8 IS COMING OUT THIS MONTH! I think Hellsing's popularity will be coming back up quite a bit, yes?

also, Surprisingly good gathering this past year! Let's have a repeat, eh? Thank you to everyone that participated! I'm so happy it all went well, with no unruly behavior or security issues. I'm gonna try and aim for same time and place as this past year, pending any possible conflicting scedules. I might actually wanna move it to outside the dome this time!

What are the rules for portaying the Nazi characters. My friend is pondering being the Major in his SS uniform, is their rules as far as the swasticas and things of that nature that could offend people.

I've been cosplaying as the Major for about three or four years now. IRT seems to have no issues with the uniforms, especially this past year (i cosplayed as a grunt soldier and my friend borrowed one of my uniforms as well) despite their usual presence as the dome is close to the dispatch room. I would encourage to just use your own discretion, if you're comfortable with it then go right ahead, as long as you're being respectful to staff and other attendees. [media]http://www.flickr.com/photos/nudecarbon/sets/72157626815393128/[/media] If you're worried about the armband or swastika, you can just cover it up like I did until we got to the photoshoot. I prefer to make a respectful compromise and go all-out at the same time. so, I use a bright red armband I bought from Limebarb that says "I <3 Catgirls" on it. xD

that aside, glad to see more Major cosplays come in! I only see one or two random Majors in my day, he needs so much more love.

I'm hoping Hellsing's photoshoot will be friday again for 2012. That worked best for me this year and I'm pretty sure my bf and company will be cosplaying Imperial Guard again on Saturday so yea XD
Hopefully I'll have the Alucard guns finished by then (any tips on keeping them ACEN approved let me know T_T I'm having my uncle make them and I want them realistically fake...if that makes sense >_>; ) and I'll be attending as Rip as well. :3 Only on Friday though....

I'm excited to see you all again~!

I'll probably be pushing for Friday again, and I agree it did work out pretty well. If we're lucky maybe I can get a certain someone to cosplay Yumie this year, which I don't think we've had yet As for the Casull and the Jackal, "realistically fake" is pretty easy considering how large they are, you can always make or find an orange cap for the end, removable or not. I Carry some rifles and SMGs and Pistols and I usually dislike that bright orange tip, so I use barrel plugs and caps to cover them. then I can take them off for private photo-shoots, as to not ruin the "realism."

Schrodinger is on my list of things to do... if he's done, I'll be there. I'll be the one with an armband that has a kitty face rather than a swastika (I totally already have it...).

Or, probably, quite that well-made. I mean, I'm a good little seamstress, but... your stuff looks like it came from a factory.

that's because pretty much half of it was. xD no worries, you'll be awesome, I always envy those who can work with a sewing machine. I have a bad habit of making things like that break.

Actually, I won't be awesome... Schrodinger is officially struck from the list. Though I may have a friend who will do either him or a genderbend... granted, this is not straight from the source (I've a notoriously poor memory), so should not be regarded as gospel truth.

Maybe your sister can do one costume and you can do the other? That would be sweet, but I bet that she wants to wear her Seras again with her maybe hubby at that time?

I"ll be in my Yellowish Seras again. But this time my hubby will be with me he decided to come out this year I'm way excited to show him around. . . plus he'll be carrying some things for me if needed lol! he's my camera guy at conventions now

Ok so we need to find a time for the shoot. I think (even thought it was hot) staying up in the Dome would be a good general place to meet up but the day and time would be a good idea to have a set time and date for us

What was it last year? friday sometime at the dome.
